3rd National Guard member dies after Carson City IHOP rampage

latimesblogs.latimes.com

A third National Guard member has died following the shooting rampage inside an IHOP restaurant in Carson City, Nev., authorities said late Tuesday.

Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong said the third Guard member, a woman, died at an area hospital, the Associated Press reported.

Her death brought the toll to five in Tuesday morning’s shootings: three members of the National Guard, a civilian woman in the restaurant, and the gunman, who took his own life. Seven others were wounded.

This story outrages me. I don't know how long it will be in the breaking news forum before this is moved, but the word needs to get out about the nationality of the shooter.

He was not an American citizen. He was in the US on a passport. He was a Mexican citizen born in Mexico. The MSM is totally ignoring this aspect. Even "far right" FOX news just mentions it in passing in their article that I have provided a link to. Most others don't even mention it though.

The gunman specifically targeted uniformed US military personnel, killing three of them.

Regardless of what the MSM wants you to think, there is more to this story [snip] there is definitely some kind of conspiracy going on here.

Get the word out.

One thing you'll never hear about is the medications he was taking at the time of snapping his lid.
They never blame big Pharma for what their drugs do to people's brain chemistry, but a commercial for Seroquil will be on shortly after this news report.

I can see you are very passionate about the subject (understandably so), but seriously, would it be in some fashion less bad if the guy was a US Citizen?

It wouldn't be any better if a US citizen was responsible.

The fact that it was a Mexican national throws in a different dynamic and the fact he targeted uniformed military personnel also implies a motive.

There are also issues with the firearms, the guy was a bankrupt foreign national, yet he somehow procured a fully automatic AK-47 and two other firearms.

Things do not add up here.

It also doesn't help any that we are less than a week from the 9-11 anniversary.

One more thing, why is a bankrupt, mentally ill foreign national legally allowed to remain in the US? That can't be normal.

You say that this "throws in a different dynamic", but you don't explain what that is.

I agee that there may be some unanswered questions. I expect they will all come out in the wash. But the thrust of your argument seems to be that his nationality not being reported is important in some way. Yet you don't explain that imporance.

Possible Motives:
1. His Family got killed by Guns from the Fast&Furious Campaign or
2. The US Military conducted a (Secret) Raid in Mexico and killed his Family

Speculation of Course.

Its a political dynamic.

Examples would include "Aztlan Liberation" and "Narco Terror".

If you didn't know, a narcoterror cartel killed over 50 civilians in an attack on a casino in Mexico recently.

Even if the shooter was copycat, i.e. psychogenic memetic effects, it still has its origins in a political dynamic involving some kind of liberation front guerilla movement or narcoterror. In this dynamic you don't need cells or a hierarchy, instead propaganda and other memetic engineering techniques act as trigger mechanisms in susceptive individuals willing to carry out emergent acts of terror.

I would like to know if this AK that he had is one of the guns that was allowed to be purchased through one of the straw buyers in Operation Fast and Furious.

Those guns are turning up here in the US at crime scenes, but not much is being said about that.

If so, it would not go well for the DOJ or this Admin.

Interesting. Do you have any links? I know they have been turning up in Mexico and Guatemala but not here in the US. Are the cartels selling them back to Americans, or are they being used by the cartel cells here in the US?

Here's some that turned up in Phoenix.

I seem to recall that some also turned up in Philly, though I may be mistaken as I cannot find the article.

I am wondering the same thing. Apparantly the AK-47 belonged to the brother, the same person the van also belonged to.

It has also come out that the brother and his employees lied to police intially. At first he claimed he didn't know about any shooting and that his name was the same as the shooters. Then he gave them his real name and claimed he wasn't related. FInally he admitted the shooter was his brother and is now trying to milk the media for money for interviews. He doesn't seem very upset by the fact that people were killed.

I need to add that there is now confusion over the nationality of the shooter.

Some sites are reporting he was a US Citizen who immigrated from Mexico, while others are still reporting he was a Mexican citizen who was in the US on a passport. Its not that hard to figure out if someone is a US citizen. Something is not right.

I need to add an update.

There is a conflict over the nationality of the shooter.

Here from ABC news:

Sencion, who was born in Mexico, is a U.S. citizen who has been here for a long period of time and had no criminal history,

abcnews.go.com...

That is a quote from the Sheriff.

This is from the Examiner, based out of Denver:

Spokeswoman for Nevada’s Joint Information Center, Lesley Henrie has just confirmed that Eduardo Sencion, 32, the man who on Tuesday, killed five people, including himself yesterday in a shooting spree at a Carson City IHOP is a Mexican national in the country on a valid passport.

www.examiner.com...

Something is not right here at all.

We have two different government authorities, the local Sheriff and the JIC operated by the Public Information Officer Committe EOC telling two stories.

JIC can be found here: www.nvstatejic.nv.gov...

this tied with 40 something killed by guns in 24 hours makesa great campaign for gun control. slowly but surly another right will be taken from us. im sure the doctors aren't doing much to save those people. sometimes the state will do that on purpose to get the best publicity etc. make an example out of something.

Good find! IF he really is a Mexican citizen and has been living in the US for a "long time," then he should have had a 'green card.' If he didn't have that, then he is an illegal alien. An illegal alien who has been collecting disability care of the US taxpayer. And if that were made public, there would be an absolute uproar. So maybe they are deliberately obfuscating the facts to avoid having this story explode and become a major issue in the ongoing immigration debate and even affecting the presidential campaign.

I started to get suspicious when they kept repeating that he had a 'valid passport' without mentioning from which country the passport originated. Once again, good find.

My guess is he was here on a Mexican passport but had acquired real US IDs through paper work tricks.

Sometimes you can get a state ID card in one state then go to another state and they will give out a drivers license with little checking to see if some one is in the US legally or if they are a US citizen.

Then the person can buy weapons and do what ever they want with them (send them to mexico)

In many cases this leads to illegals with weapons that they should not have and when they use them the democrats/anti gun groups make a big thing about it even though the democrats/anti gun groups are the one that have put these lax laws on the books to protect there illegal voters/supporters.

Its to bad with all the CCW holders in Nevada that there was not one in the IHOP to put a stop to this guy.

Correct, several states and territories issue driver's licenses and non-driver ID cards to illegal immigrants as a matter of policy, and several other states (Tennessee) have had issues with state DMV employees illegally issuing driver's licenses to illegal immigrants or those otherwise barred from obtaining driver's licenses.

For example, Puerto Rico was previously notoriously lax on checking for proof of citizenship, and so all the illegal immigrants from the Dominican Republic were able to get Puerto Rico driver's licenses and hop on the next flight to New York or Miami (it's a domestic flight due to Puerto Rico's status as a US territory). Thankfully this has changed since 9/11 and the REAL ID Act.

Here is a good example of the convoluted language used by the cops:

www.nevadaappeal.com...&parentprofile=1058
Although Sencion was born in Mexico, Furlong said, he was in the U.S. legally.
“He has a U.S. passport,” the sheriff said.

Any US passport holder is by definition a US citizen. So why not just say Sencion was a citizen of the United States? Maybe they know the passport is phony, or stolen.
