I like wet people very much!

I don't think she actually says anything. She's trying to convince some Christians that she is one of them and she is white. Whats the big deal, we dont actually see the audience really, they could be 90% black and the ones you can see are all the white ones in the building. Who cares. Its just a politician doing what they do best, patronizing a group of ppl in order to get some votes.

To everyone else: Let's quit with the racist crap unless there is undeniable proof that she is one. After all, it's so over used these days. It would be much easier for everyone to call her what she is - "ultra-conservative". It fits, and it doesn't cheapen the term "racist" when Misoir's video obviously proves the OP video was altered.

Actually it does make sense. When people get baptized they are dunked into water I'm guessing the wet people are the ones who got baptized that day. Bachmann ultra-conservative? The woman would not know what true conservatism is if it came up and bit her on the behind. She is of the same clique as Rick Perry, George Bush, and William Kristol; she is different in name only and far less sane. But nonetheless she is not a Conservative, I can promise you that. Ron Paul is far closer to true, not hijacked, American Conservatism than anyone else running in 2012. If you would be interested in reading a bit more into what I mean by that just send me a u2u, I have a lot of literature you might enjoy.

I just did a search of the weather on Aug. 5, 2011, in West Des Moines, Iowa where the video was shot. It was quite a stormy day, so apparently she did say wet, not white...

The term refers to make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. I don't see how its relevant here.

Misoir, I have to agree 100% with your assessment on Bachmann. True conservatives seem to be hard to find these days; besides Ron Paul there is also the Constitution Party.

Anyway. . . there is some good which has come out of this incident. On a Facebook page dedicated to discussing an article covering this video, there were liberals who were pointing out that misreporting what Bachmann said was undermining their work because they want to influence others using the truth. And eventually, everyone will realize that the truth is the only way to real, long-lasting change in society. It is the only thing which can unite people.

this is so typical of what we see on YouTube clips, just like in msm reporting. no idea of what is going on, what led up to that second/moment in time, just right to it without explanation.

the question standing by itself is bizarre, so bizarre i wonder why it was asked. for all we know there was just a clown or a stand-up comedian on that stage for 1/2 hr ripping and riffing on the subject.

things taken out of context are often misleading and confusing. i know i'm confused.
