An F/A-18C Hornet single-seat fighter bomber went down in Iraq just before midnight on Wednesday and U.S. forces continued intense efforts to find and rescue the pilot, U.S. defense officials said.

*U.S. Chopper Crashes in Iraq; Casualties Uncertain*

A U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter with at least six people on board has been shot down by small arms fire in central Iraq, U.S. military officials said on Wednesday.

A couple more unfortunate events on Wednesday, I was surprised to see a Black Hawk being taken down by small arms fire. Apparently the fighter jet was hit by a surface to air missle. They were showing familiar footage of Iraqi's doing little dances around the wreckage of the plane waving their guns in the air.
