Australia's religious average is what almost all of the Atheist Americans on here would love.

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that the 'tolerance nazis' are trying this on for size.

Yes the basic laws of dividing and conquering are palyed out over and over in Australia

Introduce the trojan
Feed the trojan
Bow to the trojan
Stay invisible , whilst the trojan takes the heat.
Reap what the trojan sows, but don't let him know.
Iam an average Joe, but can see it clear.
Make one think.

Listening to John Laws is the biggest problem right here.

I hope you're not a regular...?

I like listening to radio when Iam doing something it is a relaxing counterpoint?
Up here in Byron we have little choice, on radio talkback.
John Laws is duplicit and inconsistent, but in this modern world where intelligent debate is almost extinct, listening to fellow humans talk about subjects that matter to them on his show I find interesting.
Iam not silly I know all about agendas, and shock tactics.
But his show conveyed a little known fact.
so where is the problem?

[You mentioned freedom of religion, and ironically thats what the thread is about.
The freedom to express ones religion which has effectively been removed by a billionare with opposing beliefs.

When you look at it though, what in a shopping mall at Xmas is about Christianity?

And I have the same problem with the radio, living in Ballina myself.

What I do is download and listen to podcasts instead. That way you can pick the subject.

I'll second that motion!

Oh yes and the ABC will do?
Or Alan Jokes?
We are a strait jacketed society, that is stalinised beyond belief.
I like John Laws even though he is a Northener

There you go never knew he was a Kiwi, and he presents himself as a knockabout Aussie.

I say BAN IT. Well at least the Christmas that it has become. it is a farce, no one happy but a few kids who got xboxes. Christmas is not religious. Its not Christs birthday. It has something to do with Cesar so I say ban it.

And so say all of us , yes lets ban Christ mass and bow down to the self appointed chosen, who will lead us to serve .

My ancestors had their beliefs wiped out by the Roman and Imeprialistic monks , who by the sword and bribery imposed a middle eastern self serving religion onto Europe.

Now we are told its all false ...offensive to the true believers, we are the dead?

Very nicely said, you two.

actually Christians and Muslims have much more in common than Christians and Jews.
Muslims accept Jesus and the bible as holy. Jews reject all but the Talmud..first 5 books of the old testament, and reject jesus as a false prophet.

If what you say is true, then every Muslim out there will agree 100% with the following verses:

John 1:1-5(KJV)
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

I'm pretty sure Muslims would agree with what is said in those verses.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, as I said before people have no reason to be offended by a Christian-based cultural celebration and I doubt anyone would avoid shopping because of a nativity scene or Christmas decorations.
