Should we work internationally on terraforming mars or internationally work on wars?

Internationally, we should work together to solve the problems on this planet.

Why screw up another planet?

Something that amazes me is that those who post this stuff have a view but forget the background of what they deal with.

The issue isn't Mars, the issue is human beings.

If you get that, you'll understand that going to Mars solves nothing, it just extends Mans reach with what is inside him.

This is indeed what we should do. I am not sure terraforming would be possible anytime soon though, but we could build underground settlement or similar. If we go underground then there would need little to no shielding from radiation.

But we really need to get off this planet or we WILL be wiped out as it is just a matter of time. If we put our eggs in several baskets then a huge asteroid impact would not have the chance of wiping out humanity.

It is already dead as far as we know now.
And like I said in previous post there is just a matter of time before some catastrophe of some kind wipes out the human race.
And this exactly what humanity have been doing all along.. exploring new places and the next logical step is to explore our solar system.
Colonising another planet or moon would also led to new technological advancements that would benefit humanity.
Most of our technology is from either space projects or wars already...

Actually we would learn alot more about our own planet as well by exploring another planet like Mars.
There are some lunatics who even propose that we geoengineer earth to "save" earth from the imaginary "global warming" would it not be a better idea to try this on another planet before we try it on our own?

Yes we should terraform mars so that we have an alternative just in case something goes wrong on earth.

We don't even have a base on the moon; and you're talking about terraforming Mars!

It doesn't even matter because the Counsel of Nine won't allow the violent monkeys off planet anyway.

Just look at how we are terraform Earth?

Anyway, Mars lacks enough of a magnetic field to generate a proper magnetosphere to deflect, capture, and prevent the solar wind from vaporising the atmosphere. Until you can fix that problem first, there is no use in terraforming. Which imo will be a long time

Bearing in mind that we can't even change a slight overabundance of CO2 on our planet

It would actually be easier to colonise Mars due to higher gravity, more earth like temperatures and at least some kind of atmosphere. And enough water ice to cover the whole surface of the planet.

Why not?? It would take millions of years even without magnetic field for solar wind thin out the atmosphere. If we had the capability to terraform Mars we would easily be able to replenish the atmosphere long before it thins out.

Terraforming Mars has no economic value. There are no abundant resources to make it worthwhile. You would spend several decades and literally trillions of dollars in the attempt. And there is no guarantee of success. It is theoretically possible. But it has not been proven.
