Yup it's coming.

There will be six episodes in the series. The numbering of 'Series X' being both a pretty good promotional title for the channel, and technically correct since Back to Earth was a 'ninth series'.

Hopes of new model effects - rather than CGI spaceships - were high, but dependant on budget. Similarly, Doug and the cast hope to shoot the series in front of a live studio audience... they just need to make it feasible, and convince the channel!

lets hope its better than the 'back to earth' episodes.

I loved this series when it was first shown.!!!!!

Series 2 was great as well.
Series 3 is well worth watching.
Series 4 was kinda good in parts.
Series 5 was ok
Series 6 forgettable
Series 7 not great
Series 8 poor
Series 9 garbage.

I hope series 10 reverses that trend.

Bring back the dodgy models....It didn't need no goddamn CGI guff in the first place!
Aaaaah used to have a crush on Craig Charles when I was a lass, couldn't resist winking at him at a memorabilia event years later. I am a silly cow..

Ok is there any info on when the eps are coming to tv? glad to know they have gone back to basics instead of that BS they used in the 9th season even having a live crowd laughing will make a big diffirence...is kochansky in this season or are they looking for her?

If you like the tv series you will love the radio show / audio books read by chris barrie, when I first heard them I thought it was all the tv series cast doing the voices, it wasnt utill I brought the official versions that I learned its all chris barrie! I like it more than hitch hikers guide to the galaxy radio show, which I also rate highly!

I also have "the last human" read by craig charles, its nowhere near as good as infinity welcomes carefull drivers or better than life as craig charles simply dosnt cut the mustard when it comes to reading especialy not after hearing chis barrie! lol. it dosnt follow the the tv series so ca seem a bit strange to read/listen to but for any diehard dwarfer I would say its a must have read/listen

Cant wait for series X, I have high expectations following the disappointment of series 7, 8 & 9 (although 7 did a a couple of funny scenes including and especcialy in "Stoke Me a Clipper" ace rimmer sky surfing the crocodile after the nazi.......what a guy!) and please please please pllllllllllllllllllease dont ever ever EVER bring kochanski back ever ever ever!!!!!!

Love the books.
just got infinity welcomes careful drivers audiobook, now i just need some peace and quiet.

yeah bringing Kochanski back was a big mistake, she just wasn't as funny as the boys from the dwarf and made them less funny.
It'll be interesting to see what they do with series 10, i wonder if it'll end with them getting to earth or just roaming space forever. either way i think this should be the last red dwarf on tv, it's had a full life.

This is where hollywoodREALLY needs to take some tips from British programs.

1. all series don't have to run consecutively every year in the fall
2. you can keep using the same cast, you don't have to get a new cast to re air it
3. it is ok to have gaps and run the series again

too many great tv shows have been killed because they have no chance of ever being resurrected. If Star Trek was made by the Brits, it would of been allowed to continue instead of being killed indefinetly.

it has never made sense to me.

i actually got to see Red Dwarf a little bit when i was little, LOVED the show. it is so hard to get British programming in the states, though BBC is getting a little more accessible now. World news, yea!!

i hope we won't be deprived.
