Pentagon to add 20,000 troops to US streets in the event of Civil unrest

If, and it's a BIG if, this should come to pass...

20,000 whole troops? Really!? To help police the entire country? A country of 300 million plus? Most of which is rather rugged and undeveloped even today? Really?

Each and every one of them must be Capt. America personified then...

Twenty thousand troops would be hard pressed to control an entire large city in the U.S., much less the entire nation...

As for them being unthinking drones who would open fire? Some would, some wouldn't. It depends upon the circumstances, I should think...

would the military fire on a terrorist(terrorist definition is whoever the government says, from what i seen its a white american citizen).

Thats probably less then 50 troops per major city.

Fresh green troops as well right out of training?

20,000 could just be the beginning though, be interesting to see what else happens.

Eventually those troops overseas have to come home, then what?
