A security guard at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco tried to remove a lesbian couple for holding hands at an exhibit for lesbian artist Gertrude Stein on Sunday, according to an eyewitness.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that after the guard told the couple they couldn't hold hands in the museum, the two women started an argument with him. After a small crowd began to form around them, the guard attempted to escort the couple out the door.

Perhaps it's just me, but there seems to be a lot of intellectually constipated, conservative, agenda driven, control freaks, rentacops and even govt. types sticking their noses in to other peoples business where it doesn't belong. This definitely applies to the DHS/TSA sphere that like to remind us that "it's for your own good"

All the more reason for folks with camera phones, camcorders, etc. to record the erosion of privacy and corruption and slide into the world envisioned by the author of "1984" George Orwell.

Youtube could save us from tyranny. Record it, post it, question authority and let them know it's none of their ******* business as long as no laws are broken.

If cameras are ever banned from individuals; then you will definitely know it's time to bail....oh, wait...

Even in San Fran? Crazy. It should be easy to get the guard fired.

And the rise of this type of videotaping is apparent, however I would just like to add NOT TO BE INTENTIONALLY PROVOCATIVE! Too many times do I see this type of power abused like in the "Another police video. This one is interesting." thread. It is important to find actual truth, if power is being abused and people are being harmed, then it needs to be addressed, video evidence being important. However, we should not look for conflict just to find it. We should only report conflict.

Thanks

This should result in a boycott of the establishment until that loony tunes is fired.

Sick and tired of all the hate in the world at the moment.

BS

Record it, post it and let the PEOPLE determine it's relevancy. We now have a technology to open our eyes to truth and reason. USE IT. Record everything from corruption, brutality, heroism, compassion and even the trite and banal. The world is our audience. Only those with something to hide need fear the lenses of truth and openness.

Thanks

My sig say's it all....."Truth is treason in an empire of lies" which side are you on?

Well versed. I am completely on the side of truth! But, with this I think that it is important not to create treason as truth as you might put it. I am sure that we agree more than you might think-- but I will not endorse civil stupidity! Look for answers, find the truth, show it to the world! But don't try to create an answer, don't try make a truth, This is what is important to consider.

I thought for sure it was the beginning of a joke

:-)

the punchline of this joke is that he thought he could get away with it
