Everyone involved with this group is an accessory to a crime. Sit back and think Anon are white knights but they will be the downfall. It's fine to not like what people are doing. I may not like how banks screw us over, but the proper way to tell them is not by going in there and holding the place up, or blowing up the CEO's office. That is the equivalent to what these guys are doing.

And don't patronise me sir. We all know we are not afraid of the 13 year olds. We are weary of the ones that make the 13 year olds think they are aiding in a revolution.

Please prove that this will happen. Honestly I think you're making stuff up. You can't call on an example that's hypothetical.

I agree. Which is why I think our system is broken. I mean this is a side topic but I just wish that common sense and our government could be used in the same sentence. Sadly that doesn't factor into our system.

I'm calling BS. The poster really doesn't sound all that upset about it. More like they are trying to fish for comments. I dunno - fish they did though. It's definitely fishy to me.

doesn't need to be that complicated! for example, phpbb has so many security holes in it, it's not even remotely funny. maybe they could suggest to that particular company (?) how to seal up the holes so kids visiting their barbie and ken forum don't end up with debbie does dallas part 2000 or korean animal porn.

Maybe if the parents knew what their 13yr old was doing on the computer this wouldn't have happened. I wonder what else he was doing that they didn't know about?

It's not hard to become a hacker. There are sites where you can basically download files on how to hack.

If you become a script kiddy, you are still hacking. You will get caught and punished.

Of course this could all be BS

You sir, I'm convinced, are simply trolling.

If you took the time to read my previous posts you would know the downfall I am speaking of is internet freedom. Anon is presenting the problem to be fixed.

As for the rest of your sarcastic reply, it's not worth the time. Personal attacks are simply childish.

Question: who is responsible for the user and password leak .?

You, who own an updated firewal, updated antivirus and take care of your computer ?

Or is it the fault of the server owner and his security team , because they didnt secured the server enough ?

ahh, i was told the hole the hackers were using to get into my website, was via the phpbb forum, after which they'd go onto the server and remove the front page of the entire website, which was on the same server as the forum. they'd leave everything else intact, just take out the front page and replace it with a blank page with nothing on iit but the hacker's handle. it was just a website about ancient history, had links to other ancient texts and other people's websites about ancient texts. basically it was an ancient history library. soon as i took down the forum, the hacks stopped. every time i'd put a forum back up, hacked again, within just a few hours.

same with my game site (i created an entire mmorpg, with hand painted/drawn art, models i created from zbrush default models, maps, game play, looting system, you name it, it had it). although in the case of the game site, they didn't hack the front page, just the forum, repeatedly, which was my hiring platform, advertising for capable programmers, etc. first it was hacked and porn put on it (they took over my admin) then when i upgraded it to the next version, it was hacked so that it didn't even show up, the whole thing simply POOF gone.

anyway, i don't see how this hacking thing is going to help anybody except the very rich, which is the issue at hand.

Apparently, you are victim of some stupid kids using a simple executable ,program used mainly to scan faulty php scripts,it seem those kids wasnt smart enough to actualy access the core component of your site thru the breach.

PS: i do love mmorpg, and really if you did it totaly "hand made" i might say its impressive.

I agree entirely! By hacking Sony,Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, etc all they are doing is infuriating people like myself who rely on those websites for our livelihood. Suppose they were able to access my Visa account and get my account info? Suppose they then sold that information to people who really had malicious intent? By hacking into websites that store the data of private citizens who have nothing to do with government policy and corporate actions they are creating more enemies than they will allies.

I can't believe some of you think this is some sort of funny joke and that these guys are heroes. We are talking about people's jobs and hard earned money here.

I am no where near a bandwagoner, my brain is anything but mush, and I do all of my thinking for myself. Please stop making baseless assumptions on someone you know nothing about.

I see Anon as presenting a problem to be fixed. They want a revolution, go for it. Just stop with the internet meme crap and actually do something. Take off the mask and go to your congressman en mass and take care of business. As long as these people treat this as a game the problems they are trying to solve will not get solved. Example: you see me as some bandwagoner. I'm starting to see you as a troll. I can almost guarantee if we were not behind our own little masks here on the internet you would be taking me a lot more seriously instead of these flippant remarks. I would, in turn, take you responses a little more seriously myself.

I'm not here to tell people how to think or tell them they need to start thinking. I am here to share my belief (one that started a long, long time ago) that these people need to get themselves in check. Part of that is forming a formal structure. Others have said they despise those who are trying to be a part of the group and doing things in their name. One of the ways to do that is to provide structure. Also, I'd like them to take everyone into consideration. But this is not my revolution, it is theirs. And revolutions are selfish by nature.

But alas, I must end this conversation for now. Have to go and be a productive member of society.

I'm EXCELLENT at reading people in real life, somehow, I think I would ignore you, let alone take you serious.

Go ahead, be a productive member of yesterday society ;-)

no, i'm not rich. i can't afford to spend oodles of money on secure stuff, when i was already paying the company for the server (which came with a forum if i wanted to use it) and the domain name (and they were constantly upgrading their service and trying to tag it onto my bill), so finally i just realized, i wasn't going to be able to do it, because 1) i can't afford secure stuff if the free stuff all has holes, then that's that, 2) i wasn't going to be able to secure the game, which woud be even a bigger challenge. it was then i realized writing was my only possible outlet. so i made a website with a forum, to advertise my book, and it was hacked as well. cause same server company, same forum (although supposedly the security leaks were fixed.......nope).

anyway, hackers make life difficult for the little people moreso than the big guns. the big guns just hire people to take care of it.
