Um, just the mere possibility of ANY part of the Quran being lost to the ages would go against what God says in the Quran: That He will protect the
divine and last message from any corruption and loss.
If any text is lost, then the entire Quran can be open to debate, and the meaning of the divine message would have been lost.
There would be no point in having a religion anymore.
So a Muslim who believes in the promise God gave, would not even consider such a thing.
Because our understanding of 'divine message' is straight through the angel Gabriels mouth onto us. That is why you won't find any names (from those
who scribed the Quran or those who memorized it) written on the Quran as if to gather credit.
And since all of the other messages God sent before the Quran, i.e. The Torah and Bible have either suffered loss or mans own corruptive additions,
the hope that Islam brings becomes ten fold.
Hope that helps
FYI: I'm a Muslim woman, educated in Sharia for 20 years and loving it.
