Ha you are so lucky. Squirrels always look so cute so I want to pet them but they always run away. I wish all squirrels were like that

the squirrels that reside by my house arent very afraid of anything either...they love teasing my dogs for sure...even saw one of them jump on my dogs back then off and up the fence...they're ballsy lil' things sometimes...never had one come up to me though...let alone tried lol

We had a wild grey squirrel adopt us once, he'd even sit on our shoulder and accept nuts from us.

He was our little buddy, for almost a year... then it happened. For unkown reasons, while sitting on my aunt's shoulder he attacked her.

Squirrels CAN be infected with rabbies. I advise caution.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling to connect with the squirrels?
I feed the birds and squirrels everyday and they are
friendly but not enough for me to pick up. I did have
one some years back that I could pet and hand feed.
Thanks for the vid - its a keeper and thanks for
an uplifting thread.

Don't be so sure it's just a funny squirrel making harmless and unafraid contact with people. It could be a CIA spook using the squirrel as avatar, to perform remote vision in an ATSer!!

Ohhhh those are babies! They're very young - which would explain their lack of fear.
I raised a squirrel once. I miss him something fierce, but, I had to do the 'Born Free' thing once he got older, it just wasn't right to keep him caged. But man oh man could he BITE! (He HATED the smell of any kind of men's aftershave and would go for their face)!

I'm glad you shared this - its lovely.

peace

During the colonial era in the U.S. squirrels were commonly used as house pets.
They are relatively easy to tame, however, even when once domesticated they can still and often will become aggressive when they reach sexual maturity and mating seasons.

Cute, it seems in North America Squirrels are but if you go to Wales they're not so cute. I hear they enjoy attacking cats for fun over there!
