Anonymous hacks Monsanto computers; posts employee info

technolog.msnbc.msn.com

Hacking group Anonymous has posted information on 2,500 Monsanto employees and associates, and claimed credit for "crippling all three of their mail servers as well as taking down their main websites world-wide."

"Monsanto experienced a disruption to our websites which appeared to be organized by a cyber-group," said Tom Helscher, the company's director of corporate affairs, in an email to msnbc.com. "In addition, this group also recently published publicly available information on approximately 2,500 individuals involved in the broader global agriculture industry."

As promised, Anonymous/AntiSec hacked Monsanto
Not really a devestating blow to their industry, but still, an 'unwanted' slap in the chops nonetheless LOL

Hopefully when/if they get to their more sensitive data, emails etc. maybe then some real progess can be made in ridding this planet of one less coperate evil.

Anonymous! Anonymous! Anonymous!

I really hope they could do more than crash their websites and leak employees email addresses.

Maybe take control of the machines in their factories

Couldn't they at least have posted to proof they found that Monsanto is actually run by reptiloid jewish bankers from the NWO and is supplying all the Manganese di-Bromo di-Fluoro-Benzidine (salts) for chemtrails beign sprayed out of Stennis Space Centre and United Airlines 777's...or something else interesting??

Sheesh - what's the point of having anarchic rebellious hackers if all they are going to reveal is employee records??

Lets not get TOoo imagination land here lol
But these ARE interesting times, when people get shot down legally for speaking their mind, the only thing 'certain minded people' can do is operate behind the scenes with unhanded ways. What works; WORKs as far as i'm concerned. Any coperation who makes money out of poisoning the people for profit is fair game!

I swear this is the start of project mahem...it's already begun lol.

Expect us....

So if this is true? I'm ok with some of the things ANON says, but when [they] do this, it loses the respect of [their] cause. Just MO. I'm appalled [they] would take it even that far.

YouTube porn day

On May 20, 2009, members of Anonymous uploaded numerous pornographic videos onto YouTube.[65] Many of these videos were disguised as children's videos or family friendly videos with tags such as "Jonas brothers."[65] YouTube has since removed all videos uploaded. The BBC contacted one of the uploaders who stated that it was a "4chan raid" organized due to the removal of music videos from YouTube.[66] BBC News reported that one victim posted a comment saying: "I'm 12 years old and what is this?"[66] which went on to become an internet meme.

Yeah of course.... but what you gunna expect from a loose knit leaderless organisation?

Imagine a flock of birds....they break off, other flocks join, some agree to a main destination, somestop off along the way to creat idiocy.... others band together for a greater cause....
.....and all the while those that creat idiocy still fight for your beliefs too, adding to your strength and numbers.

You dont have to agree with the idiots, but you'll be damn happy if they got your back in the fight YOURE fighting.

Just think about the police.... their pr*cks when theyre pulling YOU over, but youre damn glad theyre there when you need them! lol

You're making the assumption that its easy to just "pick out the bad ones"

It takes time to read 2,500 e-mail addresses with anything from 1 - 30,000 e-mails each.

You want some damn evidence, get the leak, and start looking yourself.

I have the up most respect for officers, so, your talking to the wrong person. I've had my fair share of being pulled over and got out majority of them, all but 2 and only out of the 2 did I pay 1 fine in my life. I never encountered an officer with a bad attitude. They have always been respectful towards me. Maybe because I'm a female and easy on the eyes.

Ok tell me what have they done? Because all i can see is them adding fuel to the fire for the people who want to implement more censorship of the internet and even a whole new internet a more "secure" internet. Unless they actually do some constructive- hacking there just hurting the fight in the long run.

Exactly! thats why its put out there in the public domain. of COUrse there'll be 'collateral damage', but thats exeptable in times of war? lol.

It is often asked that people look through items and pull out the good stuff, like you said theres a LOT to go through. Just look at the HBgary hack, they were found to be creating rootkits, planning social profile 'zombies' to sway public opinion, AND collaberate with various companys to bring down wikileaks which was considered 'unlawful'.

So stuff does happen. I the age of extreme paranoia, activism goes underground. Its inevitable.

How many people have said that TSA employees deserve their fair share of punishment for aiding a corrupt system. Then when it was the military people said the soldiers didn't deserve attack for serving a different corrupt system. Now it's Monsanto, what will people think?

Magneto vs Xavier

Is attacking the supports the right way to go, or should you attack the problem while trying to protect the people who allow it to exist?

I'm on the fence, I fully appreciate both arguments.

Whatever your feelings are about Anonymous, this is a good day.

Anytime Monsanto can be dealt a blow like this, it's a good day. Now if we could only get our FDA or USDA to actually stop taking bribes and do something about this terrible corporation.

Maybe next time they can hack their servers and get some emails with juicy details about how evil those "Terminator" Seeds are. THAT would make me get behind Anonymous 100%.

What are they doing?

Every other week there is a new thread "Anonymous to go after...." yet there is never one single thread titled "Anonymous successfully takes down...."

Hacking some emails and crashing a server is really not more impressive than say, sitting home and doing nothing.
