Looks like this section needs this thread! This is for those who have a healthy conscience for organic foods-only or those who have exquisite tastes for organic foods.

No meats with injectibles. No dairy with hormones either.

Post ALL organic recipes that you've either made up yourself-- or quote, cite & link some of your favorites.

ORGANIC MINI-PIZZAS

There's two ways to do this. Either you can make your pizza dough from scratch or simply use organic pita pockets as your pizza crust.

DOUGH FROM SCRATCH
1/2 c. filtered warm water (105-115 degrees)
1/2 pkg. yeast
1 teaspoon of organic honey or organic sugar
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons organic oil (I sometimes use Walnut oil)
1 1/2 c. organic flour

Combine water, yeast, honey or sugar and 1 T. of oil. Stir. Wait 5 minutes until mixture is foamy.

Put half the flour and salt in a bowl. Add liquid 1/4 c. at a time. Add rest of flour and knead. Use the other T. or oil and spread over the dough balls.Place dough in an oiled bowl or container and cover. Put in warm place and let rise 1 1/2 hours.

Roll out dough into 6 inch circles on a baking sheet.

VARIATIONS: Add herbs to the dough. Garlic, oregano or grated cheeses like myzthira or feta.

REST OF PIZZA

If you don't have the time to do the dough from scratch, then get 6 inch organic pita pockets for your crust.
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.

PIZZA SAUCE
1 can of organic tomato sauce (divide into how much you'll think you'll need for how every many mini-pizzas you make)
organic garlic powdered
organic herb mix (either Italian herb mix or Herbs de Provence)
organic Mexican oregano (a MUST - more potent than Mediterranean oregano)

Put your tomato sauce in a bowl and shake one layer of powdered garlic. Then one layer of the herb mix. Stir. Then two layers of the Mexican oregano.

Spread on top of pitas, or the dough.

TOPPINGS
Golden Farms pepperoni or Organic pepperoni
or Rosie's organic chicken cooked in cubes
or organic/free range ground turkey cooked with herbs
Goat Mozzarella with Myzthira (Myzthira is like Parmesan made from goat's/sheep milk)
or Polly O's Smoked Mozzarella
or Goat Feta with Cyprus Midnight Moon
or Smoked Goat Cheddar (rich enough on its own)
Chopped organic red onions
Whatever other organic topping you desire

After you've done your mix and match of toppings and cheeses. Pop them in a 400 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or your desired browness.

Yummy!

BLOOD-ORANGE CHIPOTLE MESQUITE SALMON WITH A LIME CILANTRO BUTTER SAUCE

I made this one up and so far it's the best salmon one I've come up with. I don't exactly have measurements though-- so wing it with me.

INGREDIENTS
Organic blood orange juice imported from the volcanic soil of Mt. Etna (Sicily)-sold at Whole Foods
Wild caught salmon fillets (frozen)
chipotle flake seasoning shaker
mesquite flake seasoning shaker
organic lime juice
organic cilantro (fresh is better, but if you don't have--use dried)
organic margarine (Earth Balance)
organic red potatoes

Take the frozen salmon fillets and put into plastic baggie. Throw in the blood orange juice and shake in the chipotle flakes and mesquite flakes. Then marinate-thaw in the frig for 24 hours. Turn and/or shake the baggie at least once during the 24 hours while marinating/thawing in the frig.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Put aluminum foil on a baking tray. Spray with organic non-stick spray and arrange the fillets on the tray. Then cut up some red potatoes and arrange them around the outside of the salmon fillets. Now curl up the edges of the aluminum foil because you are going to dump in the marinade and you don't want it to leak off the tray into the oven. Pour the blood orange, chipotle mesquite marinade over the top of the salmon and potatoes.

LIME CILANTRO BUTTER

Take about 1/2 c. of the margarine. Throw in the chopped fresh cilantro about 4 T. or more then throw in a dash of the lime juice. Stir with a fork until it's this weird creamy liquid, but not melted.

Bake the salmon in oven for 10-15 minutes. Then flip the salmon fillets. And bake for 10-15 more minutes. Remove the salmon fillets and allow the potatoes to continue cooking another 10-15 minutes longer than the salmon.

Place the salmon fillets on their plates. Then dallop the lime cilantro butter over the top and allow to melt on its own. When potatoes are done-- place them on the plates to serve.

Add in another veggie like organic peas and carrots or organic green beans.

Be sure to keep some extra lime cilantro butter sauce on the side. The chipotle flakes make for quite a kick so a little topping of the butter sauce will balance it out.

ORGANIC CRANBERRY TURKEY BURGERS

Note: you can exchange blueberries for the cranberries if you prefer. One time I was out of both and all I had was some organic mango popsicles which I chopped into slices and used instead. That turned out yummy too.

INGREDIENTS
organic ground turkey or free range ground turkey (dark meat better)
organic dried cranberries
lemon pepper and garlic
organic onion buns or onion rolls
sliced organic red onions
organic lettuce or baby greens
organic ranch dressing (garlic ranch is the best)
organic hickory smoked bacon
Cheeses: smoked goat cheddar is the best, but other ones that are good...
Smoked Gouda, Cyprus Midnight Moon, or Cyprus Lamb Chopper cheese

The trick to this one is getting the berries into the ground turkey. So take the thawed turkey and form into a burger. Then press the cranberries on top. Then mash into a ball and reform into a burger with the berries in it. (Remember: you can do this with blueberries or mango popsicle slices too)

Cook up your hickory smoked bacon in a skillet. Then place on paper towel to get grease off it. Use the bacon grease (organic bacon - when the bacon cooks it is a clear-amber grease, not crusty white like your injected meats at a grocery store) and throw in your turkey burgers shaking lemon pepper and garlic on each side. Cook until brown on both sides on medium high heat.

Toast up your onion buns. Spread organic ranch over the buns and top with slices of red onion and lettuce or baby greens. Then put your greased-drained hickory bacon on top.

Now turn the heat of the skillet to low and put smoked goat cheddar slices on top of each turkey burger. COVER on low heat so the cheese melts.

Then place each turkey burger on a bun. Yummy yummy! All organic with your fruits and veggies-- your bread, cheeses and meat all in one burger!

Isn't organic recipes just the same as non organic recipes except the products are organic?

You could take any recipe and just insert the word organic in front of the ingredients and voila.

Does this really need it's own thread?

I agree, the recipes are just the same, to ad "organic" before everything, doesn't make it any different.
Doesn't make much sense

And @OP Why used Powdered Garlic and not real Garlic you cut in small pieces? Way better than the crappy powder

So I see. Not a very friendly environment in this section of the boards. People don't want to post recipes-- they'd just rather attack a topic. Non-sharing people aren't friendly.

Powdered garlic, powdered oregano, powdered sage or many powdered spices are far more potent than chopping up fresh.

And if you had been to any sort of organic store-- then you'd know that organic powdered spices exist for most spice types.

Fresh garlic can be bland. Too much water in the garlic plant-- watering down the flavor of the garlic.

Just a FYI, Polly-O cheese isn't organic and it tastes like garbage (owned by Kraft, what do you expect??).
I'd avoid that one at all costs! Maybe try some fresh mozzarella instead (you can buy fresh smoked too)-- you can even make your own at home relatively easily!

Not everything has to be organic to be healthy or free from chemicals. Some farmers cannot afford to BUY organic status, so they have to leave that off their label. Their goods are just as fresh, delicious, free range, grass fed, and pesticide free!

Also, some organic companies produce so much that they are no better than your big conglomerates (Horizen, Earth Bound, etc).
