The European Parliament, long a foe of the death penalty, urged the U.S. Thursday to abandon plans to seek the death penalty for a Saudi-born captive accused of orchestrating the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole.
In a resolution, the parliament noted that the accused, Abd al Rahim al Nashiri, 46, was held and interrogated at a secret CIA prison in Europe out of reach of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

I'm not a supporter of the death penalty, so keeping him in jail for the rest of his life is fine by me. Most of these jihadists would prefer the death penalty in any event, so life in prison is in some ways a harsher penalty.
Stick him a room and pump Justin Beeber into it 24/7

The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a United States Navy technical research ship, USS Liberty, by Israeli Air Force jet fighter aircraft and Israeli Navy torpedo boats, on June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War.[2] The combined air and sea attack killed 34 crew members (naval officers, seamen, two Marines, and one civilian), wounded 170 crew members, and severely damaged the ship.[3] At the time, the ship was in international waters north of the Sinai Peninsula, about 25.5 nmi (29.3 mi; 47.2 km) northwest from the Egyptian city of Arish.[1][4]
Both the Israeli and U.S. governments conducted inquiries and issued reports that concluded the attack was a mistake due to Israeli confusion about the identity of the USS Liberty.[5] Many of the survivors, in addition a few U.S. diplomats and intelligence officials involved in the incident, continue to dispute these official findings, saying the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty was not a mistake,[6] and it remains "the only maritime incident in U.S. history where [U.S.] military forces were killed that was never investigated by the [U.S.] Congress."[7]

I cant believe you had the audacity to actually post that. Well, actually I can given your other American hating posts since you signed up, but I didn't think youd actually stoop to wishing this kind of thing on children/family members of someone you disagree with.
Incredible.. teach him a lesson by advocating violence on his family. Good thing I already know other NZers don't claim you and are quick to point out that you do not speak for them.edit on 6/10/2011 by Mirthful Me because: Removed Actioned Quote.
