different cultures had different practices, some women were doctors and some men were. and all through history it went back and forth.

and not just women were killed as witches, quite a few men were turned into crispy critters over witchcraft, you f*** with fire you get burned. or drowned or a hemp neck tie.

oh yea there were also quite a few women chanting, burn them, burn them, burn them, right next to the men/
the salam witch trails started because some little girls got caught doing something they weren't suppose to be doing and they started calling people witches to stay out of trouble.

Yes, females can be very testy at times but, they are also the ones most likely to want to try and ease your pain and worries.

(assuming that they were not the one to cause them in the first place).

Here is my thought process.

If there were more females in the world, then the males would be getting more sex, thus be less aggressive.

There could probably even be world peace.

Oh god, but on a side note, if there were more females, they would become the dominant race and treat men as their inferior. Oh wait they already treat men like that anyway.

What?? I found most of the male comments very funny and stated such. Conversely, we gals hate when you guys play the feminist card.

I doubt that having a heavy female to male ratio would make males nicer. Supply and demand set value, and Im going to guess that with so few men, and so little competition, they would not try as hard to please.

I dont want to insult any Aussie men, but from what I have heard, (hearsay) from American soliders who have spent time in Australia, where at least at one point women out numbered men, the Aussie guys acted like asses (in general) towards the women. All hearsay, Im just reporting what I was told.

What I did SEE however, with my own eyes, was how the Aussie sailors acted in port in Hawaii during Rim Pac, and they really did seem to have on average a more arrogant way with the ladies. As if they expected the girls to be grateful to have them.

On the other hand, when I worked on Johnston Atoll, men out numbered women by a large margin, and women were treated remarkably well. Amazingly well. And surprisingly, the guys really got along quite nicely for the most part too.

As for a more female society, I personally just think that people should be allowed the opportunity, really and truly, to rise to their highest level without being held down for color, gender, looks, fatness, shortness, whatever. I would not want to live in a more "female world" anymore than I think we are best served by a "male world."

I think we should live in a human world. And stop letting petty differences skew our vision. Judge by the content of character, not the packaging.

Dude have you seen some of the women out there? I just went to a concert Saturday and it was outside for 8 hours in hot humid hell and some of the women strolling around in their bras ... well they looked more like circus elephants. So maybe with a lot more GOOD looking women more men would get laid, I'm pretty sure there's a very low demand for circus elephants.

Men only really get upset when they can't have children. Women are also upset for the same reason, the barrier that exists between men and women is desire for pleasure over production.

Women can be just as nasty as any bloke when it comes to "power"

But if you want to see a real line where women lost respect and power (in England at least) all you have to look to is the Norman invasion in 1066 where women moved from real positions of respect and power to chattel, and it's taken what! the best part of 1,000 years to reclaim some of what they lost.

You could almost say the Anglo-Saxons of the 7th century where modern in their approach and laws like divorce and inheritance.. and what women could own and achieve.. Oaths where very important in Anglo-Saxon life.. and women where considered equals when it came to keeping oaths.

Alfred the Greats Daughter is a good example of what a Saxon woman could achieve. Æthelflæd, The Lady of the Mercians was a brilliant military leader and strategist, capturing Derby and Leicester from the Danes, invading Wales and within Anglo-Saxon customs it was possible for her to pass her title to an heiress, which she did.

I don't think women bring peace to the world... but they do add a very interesting and powerful dimension to our world when they are not being repressed.. IMHO that change in our society would add much more colour to the world.

I believe it was the women who started it all. Some male Neanderthal said something bad about his woman's hairdo and she convinced him he had hurt her feelings, after some explaining what emotions are he believed her and never chose to say bad things about this woman again but instead began to say good things about her even if he didn't really mean it, if only for her positive reaction.

Seriously, if people understood they are in control of their own mind and each of us has his/her own responsibility for the state of mind no one could insult of offend another, would make society a lot better place to live in. Since it's very feminine to say one can be so very easily influenced by others I doubt having a female oriented society would be better than a male "shut up and deal with it" attitude.

I think it would be pretty much the same. Dont forget, that the majority of the men in power have wives, girlfriends, bits on the side, etc, and they often pull the strings and influence what the men do.

People would realise that women can be just as bad as men, and threads would be started asking what would happen if there were more men in the world.
