I don't know how reliable this newspaper is but if true it will be a shocker for Netanyahu. Obama is to remind Netanyahu the the settlements are illegal and Israel must immediately stop all construction. Looks like everything is looking up for a Palestinian state assuming this news article is true. Of course there will be land swaps to accomodate the large settlements. East Jerusalem will remain problematic but it will be worked out somehow.

LOL. You think an Israeli owned US president has the right to tell Israel anything? Do you have any idea who controls America?

And Netanyahu is going to say 'Yes, Mr. Obama, of course'. LOL.

This is election propaganda, simply to appeal to the electorate. It's BS.

NOTHING will happen. I bet he won't even stop the billions of dollars of handouts to make his point.

I wish it were true.

This however sounds more likely.

On the surface it appears that president Obama has given up on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and, frankly, given the evidence, it is difficult imagining that there is something different beneath the surface. To wit:

Special Envoy George Mitchell resigned, clearly angry at the lack of support his peace efforts received from the White House - and his resignation letter was about as curt and cold as any in recent memory.

The announcement of his resignation followed reports that the president's Thursday speech on the Middle East will, amazingly, say virtually nothing about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Obama can remind them all he wants, the US government has reminded them a few times, they got a token freeze for a few hours.

It's pretty pathetic that the same government who sends Israel billions of dollars in aid (which is technically illegal aid as they are a nuclear power AND are using the money for military incursions against other nations) would be 'reminding' them of the illegality of the situation.

How about you stop PAYING for the illegal settlements, then maybe they might stop BUILDING them.

LOL citing Xinhua?! The heavily censored Chinese media that regularly glosses over actual facts so that it is fit for the "Heavenly Kingdom",you're such a joke. They claim to have obtained a draft of Obama's speech, therefore they must be speaking the truth.

Xinhua has also reported stories like pods of dolphins guarding Chinese vessels against Somali pirates.

Good sleuthing but you're still dreaming
