I found this photo in some old family papers and I have no idea who this is. I can't read the name, and I don't follow baseball. I'm just curious about who it is. I did try some web searching but didn't come up with anything.

Who can solve this mystery?

you just beat me to it. I dont know anything about the guy, I just googled" Vernor's ad Detroit tigers" and found the orginal ad.

Ahhh....thank you!! I don't know how this ended up in my stuff, and I've no idea which family member this belonged to.
I never heard of the guy, but after a google search, I can see, yep, that's him.

You're right. It sure doesn't look like his name on the signature.

It kind of looks like Justin something. ????

I think its authentic. google other pictures of his signature and it seems pretty close. The guy just has one hell of a way of writing his name. At first I thought there was no way that said his name, but it appears that's just how he did it.

I think I'll put that Freehan photo in with my hubby's Vernors Gnome photo that he got when he was a kid.

I know the Freehan photo didn't come from my hubby, but I think they'll go good together in his scrapbook.
