Teleprompter inventor Hubert Schlafly dies at 91

www.bbc.co.uk

Schlafly was working at 20th Century Fox film studios in 1950 when he developed the teleprompter, which is also known as the autocue.

He had been asked by the company to build a device that would help actors remember their lines.

Well the invention worked, many actors (Politicians) have used this including our current President, maybe the master of the Teleprompter, to appear intelligent, well-spoken and on the ball. This guys passing will go mostly unnoticed by the public and maybe rightfully so. I think he probably helped Hollywood but hurt American Politics overall. Wouldn't it be nice if a Politician had to answer and give speeches from his brain and not a TelePrompter?
