Here is a goodnight story, its a urban legend.. so perhaps its real

A young girl was left alone at home for the first time with only her dog to protect her, she heard a bulletin on the radio about a Dangerous Lunatic that had escaped from a nearby asylum, she immediately locked all the doors and went to bed. A dripping sound from the bathroom made it difficult to fall asleep, she reached down under her bed to make sure her faithful dog was by her side, he replied by licking her hand enthusiastically.

The next morning when she woke up and went to the bathroom, she found her dog hanging from the shower nozzle, blood dripping from his torn throat, on the mirror written in blood were the words "People can lick, too!"

I was going to make this thread but here lies this thread with such title;

I was delving in into some BEK bs.

Then it made me think about some stupid old wives tale someone told me when I was a kiddo that had me petrified at the time;

Couldn't recall the entire story, luckily google exists so yeah take that accurate memories.

A young girl is home alone for the first time with only her dog for company. Listening to the news, she hears of a killer (or mental patient) on the loose. Terrified, she locks all the doors and windows and goes to bed, taking her dog to her room with her and letting it sleep under her bed. She wakes in the night to hear a dripping sound coming from the bathroom. The dripping noise frightens her, but she is too scared to get out of bed and find out what it is. To reassure herself, she reaches a hand toward the floor for the dog and is rewarded by a reassuring lick on her hand. She lies awake listening to the dripping sound. Each time she feels frightened, she reaches for the dog on the floor and feels a lick on her hand. Eventually she falls asleep. The next morning when she wakes, she goes to the bathroom for a drink of water only to find her dead, mutilated dog hanging in the shower with his blood slowly dripping onto the tiles. On the shower wall, written in the dog's blood, are the words "HUMANS CAN LICK, TOO."

Other story variations feature a nearsighted old woman rather than a young girl. The fate of the dog also varies, from the dog simply being hanged to it being skinned, disemboweled, or otherwise mutilated. The message is sometimes written on the floor or on the bathroom mirror rather than on the wall. Some versions include the parents' return and their discovery of the killer hiding elsewhere in the house, frequently the basement, the girl's bedroom closet, or under her bed.

You guys remember this?

Morale of the story? Don't sleep with yer hand hanging off the bed....

I mean I do, and my dog will lick my hand, at least I think it's my dog....

Or maybe I'm the guy licking hands?

ps: holy crap there is an urban legends forum here?

a reply to: Vandalour

A classic tale! I wonder where this one began? Typically these things are fragments from other stories put together. I'm sure there's actually been stalkers who have written messages throughout the victim's house. And, of course, there's ALWAYS an innate fear to let your hand dangle off the bed. Any part of your body really.
