Wall Street has never had such high averages! The housing market is on the rebound with more new housing starts in March than any month in the previous three years! Both signs of a strong economy and free enterprise working at it's optimum and finest!

As a proven international leader spreading freedom to and policing the world America has never shined brighter or further than it does in our present time.

We are luck to be alive and Americans but brother COULD YOU PLEASE SPARE A DIME!

I put this in an ETA in my post but would like your insight Proto (as you seem to be so good in giving so).

Do you believe that perhaps what we are going through is just growing pains and will 1) inevitably be resolved 2) lead to a partial destruction of our race but humanity will continue on with current or better tech 3) lead to a partial destruction of our race as well as put an end to present technology or 4) end humanity completely.

Or do you believe something completely different?

Curious as to your response

Peace,

AS

The single most important economic indicator... wait for it... Underwear.

Time - Tightie Whities...

Good news: I read that underwear sales are improving, must be the recession is over! Woot.

ETA: I'm really not sure if that was on topic or not, but points for style, no? Hehe

2. I believe we will continue on as a race with partial destruction but will keep continuing to develop and improve technology in a progressively more uniform population with fewer and fewer freedoms.

I believe the partial destruction will be deliberate to cull the race, cause from where I sit, more and more of us free range slaves are getting upidity!

That's my personal take.

Thanks for asking.

Which number answer do you believe?

My question is:

I understand the government uses this kind of tactic all the time. But it seems that freedom of speech is now traded in for the cost of NO anonymity. For anyone.

Should one feel as betrayed that the comments made on a blog were tracked down as easily as the government assigned these agents?

What is the real weapon here...and who is wielding what??

I'm not defending the govt.

Its just ....I used to work in a government building. Visited blogs, this site, etc...voiced MY opinion...

I did not speak for the institute of which I worked. To know that it could have come back to me, when I thought I was protecting my identity, without involving my "institution", makes me a bit nervous.

I was just using my experience to share insight yay or nay, on any subject I may have been speaking.

I am nervous for multiple reasons. Mainly, yes...the gov't is in the business of deceit. This is no secret. But people in society are far more scary. I've been in the depths of both. Where I don't trust the gov't, I can still turn my back on them if I need to. But people...man...not a chance.

I read that yesterday and was amazed to find out people are still wearing underwear!

Outerwear to for that matter.

Ours is a conflicted race. I cant' even put flea medicine on the stray cat I feed without her getting bent out of shape.

I could just see her if I stuck some underwear on her!

I wonder if birds, and bees, and animals gather at the edges of car accidents and scratch their heads and think to themselves, wow dumb people, if they just walked that sort of thing wouldn't happen!

Thanks for posting.

First a lot of decent well intentioned people take government jobs and they are entitled to an opinion and I for one welcome it.

We all learn from and through and gain perspective from and through each other.

However one person one voice one vote.

So there is a real big difference between someone freely sharing their individual professional opinion, and someone being paid to read an opinion from a script while pretending to be a half a dozen or dozen different people on the same discussion thread.

One is honest, and perfectly acceptable, one is not, and is not.

One person, one voice, one vote.

If someone wants to sell that one out for money, sex, tickets to the Lakers game, or a chance to see Paula Abduls tatoos, that's fine, as long as they limit it to their one voice, and their one vote.

Thanks for joining in and sharing your thoughts.

I believe somewhere between two and three as I too believe that our race to will be reeled in but there is the possibility that the tech may be left to the few elite so that they may become so-called "gods" in the eyes of the "peons".

I do hope for number two as you believe though. Actually I believe that number two is already in progress as I do not believe that some of the tragedies of this past decade are not by accident but by design. Do you believe the same?

Going a little further I must say that things are going to get much worse before they get better (which I really hope they do (get better)).

Thanks for your OP Proto,

Respect,

AS

And I do. I just keep presenting my argument. I am used to taking the unpopular side of an argument. Not because I just like to be contrary, although it may look that way, but because for me, facts outweigh emotion. And the facts are often on the wrong side of propaganda.

Im very used to having several people argue against me. Sometimes, very aggressively. And, I know how that normally works. How it DOESNT normally work is, like you said, with stupid one or two line barely coherent posts receiving multiple stars before you even refresh your post. In the middle of the night.

It absolutely makes a mockery of "denying ignorance." Its pure, virtually undisguised opinion shifting by creating the illusion of some large majority. At least bringing it into the open may help create awareness. It may be the only thing we have in our arsenal, is just pointing it out, and hoping people do not get taken in by the tactic. Unfortunately, many people do only read the (short) posts with stars, and apparently our sock puppet friends are aware of the intellectual laziness of many people.

I do believe that some moderators really pay attention for and look out for what could be forum gang activity it's just it's such a popular board with so many threads and alerts dividing their attention and it's very hard to prove.

I think what's most discouraging is the few I suspect who might be the beneficiaries of such malfeseance really do take a kind of in your face "I am untouchable" attitude, the site and staff is never going to put it together.

I in fact though have faith that one day the site and the staff is going to put it together though.

Hang in there, keep your cool, and remember he who laughs last, laughs loudest!

“Ordinary citizens defending the Corps energetically…” and “verbally abusive…using taxpayer funded equipment”?

So what else is new? I see that here all the time: Swarms of little “ordinary” usernames defending energetically all sorts of big government, big military, and big business ruling-establishment activities. They’re just little ole ordinary folks (single moms, stay home dads, farmers, butchers, bakers, auto mechanics, carpenters etc…) who see nothing but good intentions in their mega rich and powerful overlords.

Of course the only way to know with certainty which usernames are “ordinary” is to own the ATS servers which would also reveal if the ATS servers are owned by an “ordinary” citizen at an “ordinary” citizen’s location.

“But the army Corps denies any strategy or policy like that at all.”

Yes …. Deny, deny, deny…. and continue to deny is first and foremost when sustaining any covert operation. Did you see how honest that liar looked and sounded… with his honest-blue color shirt and tie he wore just for that interview?

While this thread has been focusing mainly on government/shadow government angles, private industry and big business have a use for this software, of course - and may benefit to a greater degree, from its widespread use. If information is money and public trending opinion/market studies and commercialism are business drivers (and we know that marketing serves to form public opinion more then public opinion serves to form what is marketed) then this software is gold. They tell you what you want, how you want it and when to get it... jump baby...

The internet is full of shills and sock puppets and every filthy variety of liar and propagandist.

Our very own 9/11 forum crawls with them, like worms out of the ground they slither and leave their slimy trail of lies and false deception.

Yahoo news has more Israeli agents lurching around than a Tel Aviv brothel.

Its all part of communicating on the interwebs, you never know who you may be talking to.

Lies make money. Lies cover trails. Lies make it possible for the ones in power to keep the masses confused and the power structure in place.

There is a war of terror for sure, but the war is against the people of the world and the terror is being done by those who look to keep us docile, dependant and helpless.

Oh definitely. We had a flood of BP minions here during the spill. The research that goes into advertising and marketing campaigns is diabolical. Really. Its dumbfounding how astute they are about manipulating people. You should expect that from people whose business it is to relieve you of your money. Its just a shame our democracy has degraded to the point where our government agencies feel it is appropriate to use those tactics on the voters. They are in theory supposed to work for us, for our best interests. The contempt with which they apparently hold "we the people" is shocking.

And my friends wonder why I say that I trust absolutely NOTHING that the government says or does.

It has gotten to the point where I have stopped keeping track of all the lies, cover-ups, scandels, etc. and just assume that if the government if involved, it is up to no good for regular citizens, and is only working for the good of the elite, special interests, and lobbyists.

While clearly this thread shows evidence of 'sock-puppetry' being done by government employees, i also am noticing many of these subsequent posts that seem to be implying that any poster who disagrees with them (or, gasp, gets stars from others) are all sock-puppets.

I think that sort of speculation is a trap. The point of the OP was to point out specific evidence, not drum up a witch hunt. Sometimes, when someone disagrees with you, its just because they disagree with you, not because someone paid them to do so.

just sayin...

Oh definitely. We had a flood of BP minions here during the spill.

A 'flood'? Really? How is a 'flood' defined? Hundreds? I'd b interested to see evidence of a significant amount in those threads.

Yep it's all as innocent and pure as the wind driven snow.

I agree though that a lot of the voices of 'reason' out there are simply misguided people often with a vested interest, hubby is a police officer, their daughter is in the army, and their other son works as a defence contractor, and their great uncle is Terry Jones.

All of that is perfectly reasonable, but the bigger the agenda, the more money and societal constucts involved the more you are apt to see some statistical anomolies that just don't add up.

How much is software manufacturing personas and how much are committed agenda driven like minded people coordinating responses and times to invade a board or thread where their strength of numbers creates a vocal minority that appears to be a majority is hard to say.

What isn't hard to say is that the software exists, the Government admits at least privately to having it, and we can see situations where it likely is being used.

Lets face it if challenges were easy they woudln't be called challenges!

It still is ultimately contingent upon the people to take steps to outlaw such software since it's fairly obvious that the government won't be moving to do it on their own.

Thanks for posting.

Great point I touched upon to a limted extent earlier, where as you see it as a sales tool, I see it more as a damage control and political tool in the hands of corporations like BP in the wake of the Gulf Oil Spill or the Banks in the wake of the Bailouts.

As a pump and dump stock market manipultion tool it would also be a real boon to people doing that.

Heck it might even work on Internet Dating sites, Proto is the Cat's Meow...uh hum, oh what I wouldn't do, me too!

Well I am kind of busy but I might have Friday open.

Of course Proto isn't 14 trillion in debt and waging half a dozen declared and non-declared wars.

So I think the people of America might want to prioritize just who they are looking at and how when it comes to regulating this stuff.

Thanks for sharing that.

Um... please allow me to fill you in on a “big secret” that for you may be above the above top secret that’s suitable for me to disclose on this “above top secret” forum….

Are you ready? Well here it is:

“Private industry and big business” have been the sole owners of “government/shadow government.” for several decades now.

I hope I didn’t shock you.
