I am not sure if this was posted on ATS.

Today's article about China catching up with US military technology.

I am not surprised if china can match the US military technology since there are several news posts within the past 2 decades about chinese spies selling/transferring western tech to China.

Gaining, yes. Catching up - not yet, they have a long way to go.

Even with the espionage and theft of technology???

I think China are very advanced in their technology but they are very secretive.

sure, china is "modernizing" there military. But, the "stack" of military technology's, and processes that make up
our military machine complex is pretty far ahead, not just in technology but process, training and experience.

we also, spend a huge amount on our military,
US: 708 Billion
China: 91 billion

so, is China ever going to "catch" us? doubt it, but they dont have to. there Military less more, internal and defense architected. ours is defense via offense.

In which ways? Most of their technology is stolen or copied. Nothing ground breaking that ever came out from them (except fireworks ofcourse).

Every fall China does a military parade to show off their military hardware to the world.

Do you know why the 2010 Chinese military parade is not on Youtube or Google Video?

Hint- they came out with something your own Government doesn't want you to know they have. Write the Chinese Embassy and they will provide you with a CD showing that parade....if you can get it without being stopped first by men in black.

The Chinese Military spending estimate of 91 Billion U.S. Dollars
is QUITE MISLEADING because one must calculate the equivalent
"Comparable Worth" for the entire military budget which is an
adjusted comparison based upon LOCAL cost of materials and
LOCAL salaries.

UNOFFICIALLY, the estimated TRUE Chinese military budget
for ALL of it's programs and personnel is 150 BILLION U.S.
rather than the OFFICIAL Chinese-stated 91 BILLION dollars.

In a DIRECT COMPARISON of "Comparable Worth" of the Chinese
Military versus the U.S. Military we MUST account for the fact
that technical personnel earn 1/3rd of U.S. technical personnel
AND that local material costs are in many cases 1/7th of the
U.S. material costs.

So on average, it costs China 1/5th of what the U.S.
spends to get the same materials and personnel.

So 150 BILLION estimated REAL BUDGET x 5 (Comparable Worth Multiplier) =

750 BILLION DOLLARS (Equivalent Comparison to USA Budget)!!!!!

What this means is that China is WAAAAAY OUTSPENDING the USA
in terms of it's overall military budget. Our USA Military
budget this year is about 600+ billion dollars.

China is outspending us by 150 BILLION dollars a year!

for China is about 25% of the total military spending,
it also means that their "Black Budget" is about
187.5 BILLION DOLLARS a year equivalent while ours
is a mere 60 billion...CHINA is thus spending
THREE TIMES MORE on Military R&D than the USA!!!!

We're Toast UNLESS we can match that!

To put that in perspective, China spends
125% MORE THAN WE DO on their overall military
and 300% MORE THAN us on Research and Development!!!!

in terms of R&D and Military spending which

And since they have WAY MORE Engineers on an absolute numerical basis,
all that brain-power WILL eventually create products that NUMERICALLY
and QUALITATIVELY become SUPERIOR to USA military products!!!!!!!

THE ONLY solution to ENSURE China doesn't USE that new-found military
superiority is to ensure our NUCLEAR FORCES are all-stealth and BIGGER
AND then make sure we have QUALITATIVELY better personnel and be more
technologically advanced by focusing our currently limited R&D on more
ESOTERIC systems that are considered FORCE MULTIPLIERS such as
non-aerodynamic principle flight systems & ordnance
(i.e. field-effects based air & spacecraft propulsion and weapons),
INTELLIGENT and AUTONOMOUS robotic systems, Mecha-based
soldier enhancement (i.e. Halo-Suits), and directed energy-based
weapons (i.e. Star Wars) and AUTONOMOUS Command & Control
computer systems and A.I. based decision making systems (i.e. Skynet)

ONLY THEN will we be able to match China militarily
OTHERWISE there will come a day...when that growing
neighbour down the street begins to realize he actually
IS Bigger, Faster and Smarter than everyone ELSE on
the block and will THEN begin to act like the BULLY
that such POWER usually engenders.

And when THAT day happens, there won't be a THING
we can do about it cuz we'll be bringing stick & stones
to a gun-fight....the BIG GUNS will WIN and that
means at best we'll be FORCED to worship at China's feet

That is NOT a scenario I particularly like to be put in!

Ergo, we REALLY NEED to up our game when it comes to
QUALITY personnel and basic Military R&D!

I know this sounds overly paranoid, but ROME is a good 2000 year old
history lesson of what POWERFUL and WELL ARMED militaries DO
to civilian populations....THEY SUBJUGATE OR DESTROY THEM !!!!!!!!

Some Technical Personnel Pay Scale background for China vs. USA:

for Low-level USA Techs with 4 year degrees you get on AVERAGE about $50,287 at the GS-11 (Step 1) pay scale

Senior USA technical and scientific persolnel with an average of 12+ years of experience
get an average of $119,554 at GS-15 (Step 7) payscale

See U.S. Government Payscales Website:

Compared to China where an AVERAGE higher-level scientist will
earn a USA equivalent of $30,000 per year.

Yes China has surpassed the USA already mostly in R&D, they have been keeping to themselves for many many years. Now that they have UFO's and we know it, they are saying hey look at us.

Then you are forgetting the most important part of what they have accomplished here. They manufacture everything in their country for the rest of the world for the most part. Computers, TV's any electronics; so now they have a back door anywhere they want.

Plus they have Phsychic Units, whos sole purpose is remote viewing, mental manipulation and locating certain positions for their UFO team can move in.
