I really need to start on that underground bunker for MY survival.
Whole lotta stomping and doors slamming, while I'm hunkered

Im not a parent but from what i've seen its best to let them do what they want as long as its inside your own ruleset...

Telling them what they can't do or trying to stop them from doing something they want to is useless, it will just make them want to do it more...

Again im not a parent so im not one to give advice...

Just a thought on the matter really...

Well if the 1982 is his year of birth, having twins at 16 would have been a real kicker!!

Haha good point, but you never know, it may make them hide in their room till they're 35 and by then, hopefully they've calmed down a little bit..

I feel your pain, I have 2 girls and 2 boys. All you can do is live with it and hold your tongue when she goes off the deep end, and she will eventually, if she was especially close to you growing up (daddy's Girl) she will become the polar opposite untill around 16 to 18 then you might get your daughter back. Hang in there it will get better eventually.

2 boys 3 girls. Would much rather deal with the boys. So much easier.
As for the whole period thing--a good sense of humor will get you through it. Keep a bottle of Midol on hand and make sure she knows that cramps and bloating are no excuse for rude behavior. From a woman's point of view some females use it as an excuse to behave badly and get away with it. Don't allow her to be that person--especially if you plan on marrying her off someday and having him keep her

You need a really comfy man cave. You think it's bad now, there are a couple of years coming that'll only get worse.
I speak as a parent. Make sure the dogs also have a comfy spot with you, they might be your only ally for the next while.
Also, I hope you have more than one bathroom.....

Keep that in mind when she hits 14, 15, 16.....
It's very true, if you say no to something, anything, they want to do it even more.
I was a teenage girl once, my father would be rollin over in his grave if he knew what I managed to sneak past him

First of all......... My condolences.
You will not win the emotional roller coaster.
There is no logic.
Only emotion..
And daddy's hugs won't cut it.
Make no jokes about "mother nature" doing her thang.
Don't get too close..and don't be too far away .
When mom and daughter start telling you they hate you?
Suck up and don't go "OH YEAH?"
Don't use any word close to "Biatch" or "little biatch"
Don't buy presents for your "little girl growing up."
You'll tee off your wife and no matter what you buy your wife? " Oh, NOW you care."

I have no solutions . Only mistakes you should avoid.

OH!! And DON"T go" Neer Neer"...

And no "how's it flowin?" jokes either. Trust me.

That's a good start what NOT to do.

one word - Chocolate
Keep it close and feed it to her in large quantities.

you might want some yourself too.

I have a Recipy that my girls love anytime of the month
German Chocolate Cake w/ chocolate frosting in a bowl with chocolate Ice Cream and syrup.

Death by Chocolate

It works unless your girls are alergic to chocolate

Patience... And a wee dram to settle the nerves.. It hits some harder than others once they reach that stage.. Luckily my adopted daughter went through it without too much trouble.. When it got bad went out and spent day fishing down at the river.. Shes grown and lives with her husband now..

I do not have any kids lol but I was a teenager not that long ago, and I remember what it was like. This will be a really confusing time for her and theres not much you yourself can do about it. It happens to all of us. All you can really do is waited it out. Once she gets used to it, it will be better for you. Teen girls dont usually like talking to their fathers about this anymore then the fathers like talking to their daughters about it! Hey you might get lucky and she will be easy to deal with. It does happen sometimes. Not all teen girls take things to the extreme. Good luck!!!

Haha, I'm game! Fortunately my little "darlings" are moved out and dare I say some wonderful young man's reason for existence. I feel so alive!!! J/K. I do have to agree that the whole chocolate thing works. Don't try to feed it to them by hand though, that's kind of dangerous.

I am serious when I say that PMS is no excuse for rude behavior. I have had to tell mine (and myself) to suck it up and be tough. The world doesn't revolve around your ovaries. The door slamming can be stopped by removing the door to their room until they've apologized and seen the error of their ways.

Find a good "reform" school, if you can afford it, and don't feel guilty.

If anyone needs the name of a couple of them (in the US), let me know.

Not cheap, but well worth it, and lots of kids today need a reality check anyway.

Oh WOW! I'm overwhelmed with laughter!!!!!!!
I did by chocolate today, kinda threw it in the door as I walked in and ran downstairs.
Didn't seem to help much,though.
I have just one daughter and one son.
My son is nine and we just hang out in the basement,a walk out basement with a garage ,bathroom and all, watching wrestling and history channel. So we have an escape route if need being.
But ,yes wife and daughter having the "monthly visitor" at the same time is not pretty.
Have to mark it on my calendar to better prepare.
Stock up on chocolate!!!

And go on a fishing trip and camping!
My father never did that that but I think it in our best interest.
