Call To Extend Catholic-Jewish Amity To Islam

uk.reuters.com

The historic reconciliation between Jews and Roman Catholics over the past 40 years should be extended to Muslims to deal with the challenges of the 21st century, a senior Jewish official has said.

The regular dialogue the two faiths have maintained since the Catholic Church renounced anti-Semitism at the Second Vatican Council, should be "a model for transformed relations with Islam," Rabbi Richard Marker told an interfaith conference.

A historic meeting has taken place in Paris.

Monday, February 27th, 2011 Paris

Senior officials from the Roman Catholic Church and international Jewish groups met on Monday in Paris to review relations after 40 years.

“The focus of the world is no longer specifically on Jewish- Christian amity. We must, for so many reasons, involve the third of our Abrahamic siblings… Islam,” he added.

In light of the events in the Middle East, this meeting could not be more timely, or um...should
I say that in light of the meeting the events are timely?

Very intrested to see what comes from this historic meeting.

Thoughts?

The catholic church corrupted early christianity.
The jewish faith, with believers of Yeshua Ha Mashiach,
is the true way of worship.
Any church started after an angelic visitation is a false
religion,which includes islam,mormons...
I don't see any good coming from this meeting,it's a false
flag,with an hidden agenda.

I agree. This meeting, even the timing of it is beyond curious.
I would also venture to say that the majority will agree, its a red flag.

My only question is... Why now?

False Flag possible. The Dome of the Rock somehow springs to mind. And we all know the Revelations regarding that.

Hmm I wonder...

Yes, it piqued my curiosity as well.

Supposedly the meeting was planned as part of a 40 year "relationship".

However, it sure fits nicely with the Middle East Uprisings, does it not?

Well isn't that interesting, as we see a move to consolidate all three religions under the Roman Umbrella.

I think we will just have to keep our eyes open for what ever overtures Rome makes towards Islamic Leaders.

Nice find, star and flag.

Heh.

All three religions have a vested interest in that small tract of land.

We will see what happens.

I am not looking forward to the immediate future.

This will be interesting to watch.
Especially glued to the Islamic side to see if they respond at all in kind.

Makes you wonder if they are "expecting" something.

Wasn't there something of a 3rd Anti-Christ being a Muslim from an Asian Country in the Lost Book of Nostradamus?

Not saying this is the case, nor do I want this thread to be dragged into Predictions (my pet peeve). But it does raise a few eyebrows. At least from me anyway.

Oh yes, makes one wonder if they know something...something they have planned.
And makes me wonder what they have up thier sleeve.

It is a good thing that the religious leaders in both groups have had dialogue for the last 40 years. Anti-semitism is still alive and well, but at least the Catholic Church is no longer in the business of stirring discontent or turning a blind eye to it. If the extension of dialogue is extended to Islam it is a good thing as well.

When no one is talking that is when the fists and bullets start flying. If they can all sit down in a room and work out their differences in a strictly formal manner, hopefully it can foster general respect among the faiths. Thus, cutting down on differences leading to bloodshed. I say formal, because they will never find common ground theologically. However, they can at least find common ground as human beings. We all put our pants on one leg at a time, regardless of what said deity one claims to worship.

Now, the hot potato is in laps of the religious leaders in Islam. Will the religious leaders in Islam take this invitation by the leaders of the Catholic Church and Judaism? That is the million dollar question? Although giving them the opportunity is a step in the right direction as long it does not turn into a theological debate or proselytising session among the faiths. That always gets no where, and has a tendency to get ugly.

Thanks Jake, that was an excellent post, thank you for your thoughts!

What you speak of is true, and I think the leaders recognize this as well.

A truce can grow cold if not properly kept fresh with the reasons it was established in the first place.

I think this will be just a manifestation of the 'feet of iron and clay'...they will not mix, they will not adhere and in the end it will crumble.

It is just another grasping tentacle of the NWO...one world religion.

------------------

And, mamabeth...it's good to see another believer in Y'shua ha Mashiach in here. Misunderstood by mainstream, pariahs to christians. It's a lonely, but worthy, walk.

I would totally agree with that assessment.
This has a hidden agenda and it has to
do with the Anti-Christ. As not one of
these religious institutions can stand
on their founding principles if allowed
to mix with non-believers.

it is divide and conquer.
Stay well, the Anti-Christ is not far
from being revealed.

As there will be Peace among nations
in the end times. Prophecy fulfills itself.

I'm split on this. I'm not sure how literally we should take biblical prophesy for our day and age.

But I have to admit some of the things are available today that were undreamed of before. VeriChip, true world domination by globalists... scary times.

The problem with pre-trib thinking is that to many churches think "I'll just be out of here so I don't have to worry" which leads to the church being the most passive when it should be most active. There are more hurting and hungry people now than any point in history.

It is the perfect time to drop our religiosity and start giving love and help to those in need.
