Obama goal: 'Putting the economy into overdrive'

Appearing in Schenectady, N.Y., on Friday, Obama announced that he was naming GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt as the head of a Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, his latest move to court a business community that he's clashed with amid continued high unemployment. Addressing workers at a General Electric plant, Obama recommitted himself to spending the next two years trying to speed up the economic recovery. His success or failure there is likely to be the central issue of the coming 2012 presidential campaign.

Look, in all seriousness, the best thing the "messiah" could do for the economy would be to fire all his czars and advisers, the he and biden resign. A socialist planned economy does not work. This nominee of his has led the charge in outsourcing jobs. How is such a person going to help increase jobs in the USA? He may, likely will, increase job growth....in China, Taiwan, South Korea, India etc... but in the US? I doubt it. We need to renounce all these "free trade agreements", institute punitive tariffs(especially on China) and completely revise(if not eliminate) our income tax code.

Problem is, Obama's hand slipped while changing gears and slammed it into Reverse.

Kinda hard to pull back from the Fed dumping what some in the financial markets say was like 27 Trillion, was leveraged to cover the debacle.

I guess the real question is, why hasn't he put the economy into "overdrive" already? It's been 2 years!

Whatever "putting it into overdrive" means, anyways. Presumably nothing at all.
