If you are to believe the stories it is the military who got hold of them in the first place so if you like against the will of ET that is who their contact was and not by their design.

Okay, I see this a lot where someone will say "If they're real, why stay hidden?"

The answer(s) are quite obvious.

People who believe in aliens ( a lot of them, anyway) seem to think they would help us with our problems.

These same people along with all the new believers (as these intelligent beings let us know of their presence) would be harassing these beings for help.

If we can't fix our own problems then we are utterly useless as an "intelligent" race. If we can't fix our own problems what good would we be to them?

And as far as people in the know not coming forward....THEY HAVE!!! For decades...

Look at Roswell, there are actually "intelligent" people who believe that a member of the air force would not be able to tell the difference between a weather ballon with crash dummies and a crashed, unearthly flying vehicle with biological beings that are also unearthly.

I've known some pretty dumb people, not one of them would confuse a test dummy with a living being. I mean, please, think about that...

You would believe some of the most ignorant people in the world are in the US Air Force, before you would believe in the possibility of being visited by other planets?

We went to the moon, which makes us aliens. Are you really so arrogant as to believe we humans are the masters of the Universe already?

There is nothing to prove the UFO phenomenon is all hoaxes or mass delusions, or "too much TV" (my personal favorite).

Vampires, werewolfs and demons are just as popular in Hollywood, and yet how many demon sightings do we hear about in a year?

How many vampires are being spotted in Arizona these days?

I'm not saying I believe yet, but there is enough evidence to warrant an open mind.

The closed minds have always stunted our evolution.

They are ALWAYS portrayed in history negatively, and yet here they all are, just as alive as they were 500 years ago.

I also love it when people argue against higher intelligence by presuming to understand how a higher intelligence would think.

That to me is far more "ridiculous" than saying "It's possible we are being visited". By presuming to understand the thoughts and actions of a higher intelligence you don't even believe in, is ludacris. It also suggests that you believe yourself to be close to that intelligent.

From my understanding, it can be very hurtful to a scientist's career to even mention UFOs.

In other words, I doubt they would talk about it out in the open, no matter what they've seen or how many times.

They most likely understand that nobody would listen to them no matter how much evidence they had.

Remember the Patterson footage? You got a video of a living, breathing, walking, and possibly female bigfoot. Hollywood make-up specialists pathetically failed at recreating the beast (on some show I forget the name of, but trust someone here knows). Nobody seems to want to admit any of this. I actually think less people believe in Bigfoot since the footage. Some people say there was a deathbed confession of hoax. Actually, that is the only "hoax" surrounding the mystery (that we know of, it's still an open case. A damn convincing one in my opinion).

Point being, people ignore even the best evidence. Someone as intelligent as a scientist understands this well. To them, it doesn't matter what the truth is, it only matters where the paycheck comes from. Life as a ufologist doesn't seem very promising, does it?

By my vampire comment, I meant, if ufos weren't real, then why are other things that aren't real not as sighted?

It had to be a guy in a suit or they would have shot it.

Where there is no proof of many things you can use common logic.

Like with Roswell and Blanchard’s first and I believe true statement.

Those are two good points. My reason for giving it more value is because of the horrible "recreation" of a suit by "specialists". What made it even funnier, is I think they believed they did a good job (I'll try to find the name of the show). And, if I was that close to something that big and scary looking, I would do whatever it took to not anger it. A thing that size might be able to take a few bullets and stiil beat you to death. An experienced hunter would have to consider this, I would imagine.

Like I implied, though. It could be a very clever fake. I just wish someone would prove that for me.

I am not thinking interstellar war as if that where the case it would have been over as far as we are concerned a long time ago.

To my mind it is some natural disaster that not even they can stop.

Earth quake, solar storm or problem of some sort that not even their technology can prevent.

This would provide the ultimate reason for the secret and why it is perhaps keep by so many.

Just think if it where to get out that the earth word die in a years time, you think people would continue to go about their daily routine????

Well I trust what I witnessed to have been a legitimate sighting. My cousin was also outside with me at the time and saw the exact same event so I know it was not just a hallucination on my part. Yes there are people in the higher chains of command with certain security clearances in different brances of the military. Mainly the Air Force and as I could assume remanining elements of FBI and CIA research panels (incredibly confidential of course). This information is highly compartimentalized and never shared between chains of command. It is on a need to know basis. For this reason not even the commander in chief is aware of the full scope of this issue. The military-industrial complex is some #. Good thing Eisenshower warned us about it and we did literally jack # to prevent it.

If what you deem as logic can be called proof, then you have helped make my point about "even the best evidence".

With that kind of logic, you could argue any video footage. An argument can be made against anything, it's true.

If Kennedy's head was blown apart, how could Jackie cradle him without passing out, or at least throwing up? Did she have some kind of previous experience?

EDIT TO ADD: Edgar Allan Poe never existed. There is no video footage, or a landing on the white house lawn. Only eye witness testimony, and a collection of brilliant writings that were obviously written by some other brilliant person(s), because Edgar Allan Poe never existed.
