People wear clothes because their nakedness is shameful --- too many lump and bumps, dents and dings, are nothing but short of buck ugly! Without clothes people are hopeless against the elements of nature and would either freeze or burn to death.

As others have pointed out. Once your in a group where everyone is naked, all of that judgement falls away almost instantly. As far as burning to death, of course you would have to ease into the sun.

I just don't hate anyone enough to force them to see my nude body.

We should allow nudity in public. People should be tested for BMI (body mass index) and general unattractive nudity. If a person is deemed attractive enough, (and have a low BMI) they get a public nudity license. Some people should not be seen nude, especially around restaurants. It would create nausea. Me, I should never, never get such a license, it would cause grave civil unrest..

just one of the things in my opinion that make the difference between us and just some dumb animals. Also lol, if no one wore clothes then boobs and such wouldn't be nearly as 'hot' because you see everyones all the time lol, Say goodbye to the webcam porn business!

No doubt there are a lot of reasons to wear clothes on a daily basis. Most of those reasons are laid out in this thread quite well.

Having said that, there are plenty of times when those reasons wouldn't apply. So why not go nude then? I personally see no reason for it besides the stupid laws and prohibitions against it, whether civil,religious or societal.

Like someone said, if you are naked indoors and it hot out, and you gotta go out for some brief reason - why dress up just to do that? In the summer why can you not enjoy lounging in the yard nude? If you gotta go to the corner store for something quickly, why not nude?

There is a time and a place for everything; including wearing clothes. My beef is with the near total restriction in N. America. Europeans are much less bothered by this issue I believe, but even there there is room for less.

The weather's always cold in the UK so wearing no clothes isn't really an option. Some people though might feel inadequate or ashamed of their body especially as they get older.

I think one of the reasons we wear clothes is to separate us from animals as well.Wearing no clothes would surely make rape a lot easier as well and certainly more tempting for some people too
