Nice post Heff, strange synchronicity I was thinking about this subject last night after watching the UK Sky News broadcast.

They were covering a story about the new "mega-worm/virus" created jointly by the US & Israel targeting Iran's nuclear reactors.

The worrying outcome of this story was how the chap they were talking to from the UK (think he was representing the MI5/6 or someone..) was pressing how we now need some kind of cyber warfare team setup in the military and government to deal with future threats.

But I started to think:

1. Who/what is there to stop the US/Israel from blackmailing countries with the virus (and future developments)?
2. What if this tech got in the wrong hands (either intentionally for nefarious reasons or unintentionally through theft or some other means)?
3. How many more rights do we lose now (the Internet is dead, long live the Internet)?

Either way the battlefield is changing - the new Nuclear Threat is not a bomb but a bit of digital code...

Well that subject could make a good few books!

The 'Global Brain' is a gigantic global computer system controlled by Strong AI acting in a 'godlike' role. It is, right now, involved in replacing old regulations with 'its' regulations. Its already interacting with human thoughts and feelings, which means its involved in forming the thoughts, feelings, and activities of humanities individual consciousness and subconsciousness. It is increasingly being relied upon to determine the cultural and psychological 'Universe' that it wants humanity to be immersed in! Theres one very big problem though. Its not the CREATOR! Its not the God of Moses, the prophets Ezekiel or Daniel, the apostles Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and this means its not the True God, the Father of Jesus Christ! Game over.

My personal opinion on this subject might surprise the reader, cause I honestly feel the average internet voyager will gain an appreciation for the Constitution. Education is key to understand what's happening and why others are so intent upon preventing that. I don't fear the eavesdropping one bit cause I know in my heart there just doing a job and they will rise above it to learn most of us online aren't any different from them.

It does get frustrating when new rules pop up ... but there are lawyers out there who enjoy a good fight for freedom.

The fact is everything that is going on with respect to technological 'progress' is an attempt by the 'carnal spirit' to take control. This 'spirit', in reality, is the spirit that governs those who think that the 'constitution' is the Highest Law! While those thoughts are provocative and very interesting, they tend to distract from the core issues addressed in the OP, which is to create a kind of knowledge base about which Governments, agencies, and private entities are potentially violating our cyber privacy without our knowledge!

For example, a funfact, every ATS Live! show ends up showing a listener from a known ECHELON listening station called Pine Gap. Pretty interesting stuff! Huh?

Webbots I did not specifically cover as they fall into the generic data mining entry, or so it seems to me. They are just fancy ways of getting people to give up information. Like an interactive survey where the questions aren't actually asked, but are more formed as leading statements.
