Ok sitting here and just heard a weird noise outside!

I would suggest maybe locking the doors/windows & call the police dpt if you are really concerned here. Make sure to arm yourself too (knife if you don't have a gun) & stand outside a doorway so you can hear/see the whole house but if someone breaks in, then you can quickly hide in the room.

Otherwise I think you are overreacting. I get noises all the time outside my window, but I also live near a forest and have a family of 6 raccoons (which make horrific sounds btw) and 5 cats / many dogs around.

I think you are ok and just heard the sounds of nature.

Im sure we were overreacting we also live in a wooded area ..what was strange is the noise was so loud almost sounded like a loud crow ..all are windows are shut its so cold out winter in minn with tons of snow ..Im sure it was a animal but if i hear it again i will call the police ..plus all the doors are locked the whole thing was just spooky..but thanks for takeing the time to write back~~sugar

I think it happened to me once too.....
I accidently deleted a whole paragraph before I hit OK to send.
And my whole post was empty, hollow..............silent.

and shortly afterward, all I kept hearing
was this silence, all night long
this obtrusive silence on and on, and I knew the two incidents were related.

Sounds to me that it might have been a groundhog.

I belive it was a cat under my house chaseing something but it was loud but i havent heard it since..
