The digital Kennedy archive is online and has some nice photos of JFK welcoming some Masons and their wives in the Rose Garden, April 10th, 1961.

The Masons were in DC for the International Conference of Supreme Councils

Worth noting that this was just over 2 weeks before Kennedy gave the address to the press which is commonly (and incorrectly) believed to be anti-Masonic.

Anyway, an interesting piece of history...

This is obviously the meeting where he resisted the advances of the Illuminati, then two weeks later denounced them. Exculpatory evidence will not be heard! Occam's Razor will be blunted!

I saw the Secretary of our local Chapter in the background. He seems about 85 in that picture, but now he doesn't look a day over 80.

Damn Reptiles!

Great stuff to read. I posted the information on the Masonic greet on another site and was called either a liar or that those men were still just "low level" Masons. hahahaha

I love how so much more history is getting digitally archived for future generations to see.

This is Kennedy getting a Masonic grip, even though he supposedly wasn't a Freemason. He did have a tendency to be less than honest at times, and this is obviously a less-than-honest political move.

If you seriously believe that the Freemasons refuse to engage in political intrigue then you're fooling yourself.

Kennedy is not getting a "Masonic grip", he's simply shaking Henry Clausen's hand.

It wasn't a "political move". Every two years, the Scottish Rite Supreme Council meets at the Scottish Rite headquarters in Washington, D.C. That time, then-President Kennedy simply invited them to the White House, and gave them recognition for Masonic charitable work.

The reason this was posted in the first place was apparently to debunk the myth that Kennedy was talking about Masonry when he referred to "secret societies" in his famous speech. Kennedy did not consider Masonry to be a "secret society", and was a supporter of fraternal organizations.

are you aware of the Catholic Church's views on Freemasonry? Now, are you aware of JFK's religious beliefs? Now are you aware of what fraternal organization JFK was affiliated with?

I am glad we could have this talk.
