Make rope from dead plants

lots of stuff out there, this is something i'll be glad i know how to do.

This is definately the time to prepare. Learning survival skills gets me excited. Bring it on!

It is an essential skill for making traps, building shelters, tools, making clothes and more.
Unfortunately, it is not a skill that can be easily learned from a text-only description.
The plants mentioned are indeed good ones for making cordage.
You can also use sinew and hide from animals.
I guess I'll have to make a video so people can learn it.

that would be helpful.

would an easy explination be,
1) wind the fibers clockwise (make 2 strands like this)
2) wind these 2 clockwise wound strands, counterclockwise and it will all hold itself together

is that correct?
another question, how do you continually make the rope longer?
do you have any tips that make it easier?
