His "friends" seem obviously clueless. Here's a screen shot of his AZ voter registration info.

The county voter registrar says he was a registered independent.

Loughner registered to vote for the first time in 2006, said Chris Roads, Pima County's registrar of voters. He registered as an independent and last voted in the 2008 general election.

I'll take his word for it until someone can link directly to his voter registration on a state of Arizona website.

He also listed the Communist Manifesto in there. That's not exactly high on many conservatives' reading lists.

The truth is, he was all over the map politically. My guess is that he probably saw himself as some sort of anarchist, but whatever the case may be, traditional ideology does not seem to have been a driving factor.

True, but this has unfortunately become a right left battle in which those who do not understand or agree with the left/right paradigm hence my attempt at balance.

Can we stop assuming someone's political leanings based solely on what they read?

As a very well-read liberal i find this trend disturbing. (Also to note, THIS liberal has in fact read Mein Kampf as well as many many other books "the right" might assume i wouldn't read.)

I am replying to my own message because i've discover the image i had linked to was in fact FAKE.

The obvious error was in the misspelling of Tucson - It was spelled "Tuscon" in the image.

I humbly apologize to everyone here at ATS, it was not my intent to pass along bogus information.

It happens. At least you admitted it. A lot of people around here wouldn't.
