WikiLeaks app removed from Apple's App Store for violating developer guidelines

An unofficial Wikileaks iPhone app that showed content from the Wikileaks site and Wikileaks Twitter account was pulled from the App Store on Tuesday, according to Apple. Apple told The New York Times that the $1.99 app had been removed because it violated developer guidelines stating that apps "must comply with all locals laws and may not put an individual or group in harm's way."

What does this really mean?
Apparently the app stayed for 3 days before it got wiped out.
Is Apple joining in with pressure from FBI or the US government along with Amazon, Paypal et al?

Of theres there's an explanation from Apples side to the New York time which I put as an additional news link.

I'm surprised it wasn't a link found here on ATS. If there is, please remove this one.
