Who is your ATS guilty pleasure?

With all the "who is your favorite/crush/role model" threads going around... It occurred to me that it is easy to claim the popular kids... The well respected... The beautiful. But it is entirely a different thing for us to cop to liking some of the less mainstream posters.

It takes a little more courage to admit to liking the barking chihuahua than it is to snuggle with the fluffy cocker spaniel.

So, ATS... Which posters are your guilty pleasures? Who are the avatars or names you look for, and star and flag, in spite of yourself?

I have TWO and will name them after this thread gets moving!

Hahahah! I couldn't help but to laugh! I think ET_MAN, Boondock_Saint, ProtoplasmicTraveler, and IX-777 AKA Maggador Edward Alexander provided some pretty interesting threads since I've been roaming around these parts of the internet.

My favorite posters, based upon their information and opinion only, are the following in no specific order:

mblahnikluver, Hefficide, FortAnthem, Skid Mark, Lady Skadi, DimensionalDetective, Spartan King Leonidas, Intastellaburst, Projectvxn, and Schrodingers Dog.

There are many names I have forgotten, this does not mean you are not important to me!

I've gotta say Phage. That guy is just amazing.

You guys do realize this is the " guilty pleasures" thread right ??

If theres anyone I should feel guilty about, ... its prolly Inchworm.

I've got two favorite "kinds" of people.

I like the people on this website who try to find humor in the these threads. Many of them are very serious, or negative, and comedic relief is definitely appreciated.

I also like the people who wait like hawks for the profound stories to pop out of the woodwork, and who add real insight to these topics instead of staying in "the box of possibilities". There are definitely some thread-makers out here who clearly enjoy writing and learning, and try to pass on their perspective instead of puking out rumors or articles from Foxnews and calling it good.



That guy with the Neo avatar and the 30,000 flags/stars is doing pretty good in my book.

Misoir, you're one of the most interesting posters on ATS. I've seen so much growth out of you that I find myself going out of my way to read your threads.

I've got to say that, in my opinion, the poster that has the best prose and consistency in his insanity is Tormentations. I love to read his threads and although I find it difficult to agree with him outright he always gives me something to ponder and, for that I always star & flag his threads. He is a totally consistent, well thought out, bizarre thread writer. Always forces me to think from a totally different perspective. Yes, I have to say that Tormentations is my guilty pleasure (and no, Tormentations, I do not want to become wife #4).

The opening to one of my favorites:

I finished the mystery of God on April 25th 2005. I declared to my three wives, who are my servants the seers, that I'm not going to Hell (World War III). Right now it is the Death part of Death and Hell, but, know, Hell is to follow. So anyway, I'm not going to Hell (World War III) is why I heeded my wives and went through with what then became our final plan against the living members of the tares (the wicked one).

Well thanks Project, in reality I do owe my major political change to you. It took me a while to realize it but that day on Chat when you were asking me to describe how a Socialist economy would work and I couldn’t, that is what changed my mind. I was espousing an idea I had no real understanding of and when I truly read it I no longer liked it.

Oh and sorry Heff not trying to derail your thread but I will never tell the secret of who my ATS ‘guilty pleasure’ is.

Dooper and Oozy combo... hehe

Rainfall and Empire for the contentiousness of the threads (always offered up something for me to argue against)

Tormentations (for the bizarreness)

Proto and Slayer combo... (never a boring debate)

I look for your posts,Hefficide, Misoir, projectvxn, Iamonlyhuman, Boondock_Saint, ProtoplasmicTraveler, for the most part I really like what you folks have to say. You've helped me spend many an hour perusing the incredible stuff on this site. Big Thanks (Nia-wen Ko-wa!)

Nope, I still hate Republicans more than anything else. Democrats are not much better but I still feel a connection to that party since they are the ones who put out the only great Presidents.

And no centurion1211 is definitely not my guilty pleasure.

Good idea for a post, Heffmeister, but somewhat embarrassing. While we're miles apart on some core beliefs, I find myself giving davespanners quite a few stars for some reason and Russo drives me crazy sometimes with previously debunked ufo vids but ya gotta love the good-natured goof.

There's a couple more that always surprise me that I would star them regularly, but can't bring 'em to mind right now. This one will be a blast to follow.

It took me a split second to come up with my guilty pleasures, they are known by many a collective term - the troublesome twosome, the masters of disasters - I give you...
