There is so many threads with people tying current events with so called prophecies from the past, I thought, just for a giggle (and I’m bored waiting for my work shift too start), I would throw one out there, just to show how easy it is to tie things together.
I’m a big fan of the rock group Queen, and listening to them over the weekend I noticed how some of the lyrics, especially from the songs written during Freddie’s final years, managed to tie in to what’s going on around us at the moment, hint of prophecy? Or just pure coincidence? (More than likely the latter)
Remember, like all prophecies, you really have to twist the words to fit, If nothing else, enjoy the music.
I WANT IT ALL – Student protests, London 2010 (with a hint of WLeaks)

I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now
Adventure seeker on an empty street
Just an alley creeper light on his feet
young fighters screaming with no time for doubt
With the pain and anger can't see a way out
It ain't much I'm asking I heard him say
Gotta find me a future move out of my way
I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now

Listen all you people come gather round
I gotta get me a new game plan gotta shake you to the ground
Just give me what I know is mine
People do you hear me just give me the sign
It ain't much I'm asking if you want the truth
Here's to the future for the dreams of youth
I want it all (give it all) I want it all I want it all and I want
it now

I'm a man with a one track mind
So much to do in one life time (Do you hear me people?)
Not a man for compromise and where's and why's and living
lies
So I'm living it all (yes I'm living it all)
And I'm giving it all (and I'm giving it all)

It ain't much I'm asking if you want the truth
Here's to the future
Hear the cry of youth (hear the cry hear the cry of youth)
I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now.

SCANDAL – Wleaks

Scandal - now you've left me all the world's gonna know
Scandal - they're gonna turn our lives into a freak show
They'll see the heart ache, they’ll see the love break
They'll hear me pleading, We’ll say for God's sake
Over and over and over again

Scandal - now you've left me there's no healing the wounds
Hey scandal - and all the world can make us out to be fools
Here come the bad news, open the flood gates
They'll leave us bleeding, we’ll say you cheapskates
Over and over and over again

So let them know when they stare it's just a private affair
They'll have us hung in the air and tell me what do they care
It's only a life to be twisted and broken
They'll see the heart ache, they’ll see our love break - yeah
They'll hear me pleading, I’ll say for God's sake
Over and over and over and over again

Today the headlines tomorrow hard times
And no-one ever really knows the truth from the lies
And in the end the story deeper must hide
Deeper and deeper and deeper inside

The Invisible man – Julian Assage, Wleak cables, government agencies, Osama Bin Laden….take your pick, lol.

I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can see right through me

When you hear a sound that you just can't place
Feel somethin' move that you just can't trace
When something sits on the end of your bed
Don't turn around when you hear me tread

I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can see right through me
I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
It's criminal how I can see right through you

Now I'm in your room and I'm in your bed
And I'm in your life and I'm in your head
Like the CIA or the FBI
You'll never get close never take me alive

I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can see right through me
I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
It's criminal how I can see right through you

Hah hah hah hello
Who goes there?
Hah hah hah OK
Who goes there?
Hah hah hah hello hello hello hello
Never had a real good friend - not a boy or a girl
No-one knows what I've been through - let my flag unfurl
So I make my mark from the edge of the world
From the edge of the world
From the edge of the world

Now I'm on your track and I'm in your mind
And I'm on your back but don't look behind
I'm your meanest thought I'm your darkest fear
But I'll never get caught you can't shake me shake me dear

I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can see right through me
Watch me
I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
It's criminal how I can see right through you
Look at me look at me

And the best song of all, can anyone see a message in this one?

Innuendo

While the sun hangs in the sky and the desert has sand
While the waves crash in the sea and meet the land
While there's a wind and the stars and the rainbow
Till the mountains crumble into the plain
Oh yes we'll keep on tryin'
Tread that fine line
Oh we'll keep on tryin' yeah
Just passing our time
While we live according to race, colour or creed
While we rule by blind madness and pure greed
Our lives dictated by tradition, superstition, false religion
Through the eons, and on and on
Oh yes we'll keep on tryin'
We'll tread that fine line
Oh we'll keep on tryin'
Till the end of time

Through the sorrow all through our splendour
Don't take offence at my innuendo

You can be anything you want to be
Just turn yourself into anything you think that you could ever be
Be free with your tempo, be free be free
Surrender your ego - be free, be free to yourself

Oooh, ooh -
If there's a God or any kind of justice under the sky
If there's a point, if there's a reason to live or die
If there's an answer to the questions we feel bound to ask
Show yourself - destroy our fears - release your mask
Oh yes we'll keep on trying
Hey tread that fine line
Yeah we'll keep on smiling yeah
And whatever will be - will be
We'll just keep on trying
Till the end of time

Hope you enjoyed, remember this was mostly for fun and interest, see if you can find some potential hidden meaning in a Queen song, or any song for that matter.

EDIT: I don't think I should have put this in the predictions and prophecies forum, please move if needs be, and sorry.

Thanks for the thread. Last song in particular is not only amazing but the lyrics are genius in accordance with the music especially. He really put his soul into his music before he passed.

ROFLMAO, do they make your rocking world go round? Thanks for the contribution, that made me chuckle.

@Thinkingcap, cheers for the post, yes, he did, he poured everything had into it until his dying breath.

Maybe there is some foresight in the lyrics, I know all four members wrote songs, but it was mainly Freddies that seem to tie in well, and mainly the ones that he wrote whilst he was dying.

I'm off to work now, 9 hour shift, doh! I look forward to reading more thoughts when I get home. (and a "your thread has been moved" message, lol.

There's a song by Counting Crows that was released in 1998 as a hidden track on their album "Across a Wire" that sends shivers down my spine when I hear it. It seems so close to 911 it's scary. Lyrics are:

I never go to New York City these days
Something about the buildings in Chelsea just kills me
Maybe in a month or two,
Maybe when things are different for me,
Maybe when things are different for you
You know all of this #, just sticks in my head

There's anything different these days
The light in her eyes goes out
I never had light in my eyes anyway
Maybe things are different these days

It's good for everybody to hurt somebody once in a while
The things I do to people I love shouldn't be allowed
Something about the buildings in Chelsea just kills me
Something about the buildings in Chelsea just...kills me

There's anything different these days
The light in her eyes goes out,
I never had light in my eyes anyway
Maybe things are different these days

I dream I'm in New York City some nights
And angels float down from all the buildings
Something about an angel just kills me
I keep hoping something will
I keep hoping, I keep hoping, I keep hoping

There's anything different these days
The light in her eyes goes out,
Never had light in my eyes anyways
Maybe things are, maybe maybe maybe
Maybe things are, maybe maybe maybe maybe maybe things are different,
Maybe things are different
Maybe things are different
The light goes out

I never had light in my eyes anyways
Maybe things are different......these days.

A rather beautiful song actually

I think I may have been listening to Queen as long as anyone in the US (since 74). I never thought of them as being prophetic (except the Prophet's Song
) but more poetic.
What about Hammer to Fall? I think that describes today pretty well.
Anyhow, thanks for the thread - I think Queen will always be one of the greatest bands, certainly one of the most original.
Freddie, we miss you. The only man in leotards that southern rednecks ever respected.

Prophets song is amazing in stereo, the way the sound bounces, "ooohh, people can you here me, and now I know...."

It's interesting you mentioned Hammer to fall, I was going to include it, but it was more about the potential nuclear war during the cold war, the "while were waiting for the hammer to fall" literally means waiting for the bombs to drop.

And LOL rednecks and leotards, awesome.

Amazing. Ive have been listening to queen for few weeks straight awhile ago. I just never noticed how great the music was lyricially aswell and just the music itself. "Is this is the real life?, is this this just fantasy?' Their arent as much musicians than can do what Queen did, or even compare. Freddy Mercury was made for this band. He could hear a song on the radio, then play it on the piano right after hearing it, he had amazing charisma, and musical direction/style, his teeth structure made sure he could sing as he did. It was like the band was pre made spiritually before manifesting into and art form like music. Pink Floyd are another band that are in the same field as Queen.

I would say it's a matter of interpretation. Just as in Nostradamus's prophecies, or in the bible there are many passages written in a way that can be interpreted into many different theories.
for example Nostradamus wrote:

The year 1999, seventh month, From the sky will come a great King of Terror: To bring back to life the great King of the Mongols, Before and after Mars to reign by good luck.

At forty-five degrees the sky will burn, Fire to approach the great new city: In an instant a great scattered flame will leap up, When one will want to demand proof of the Normans.

One often believes this to be the prophecy of 9/11, although there are no direct connections to either the attack, nor the actual date. They no more match 9/11 than they match other events.

Most of those were translated one word at a time by people who never understood old French. If you ever get to read that same quatrain translated from the ORIGINAL by someone who knows what they are doing, you'd barely recognise it. I've seen hundreds of slight variations of that quatrain. In the second half of the last century it gradually changed to lean towards a nuclear war.
