WE all know how bad free trade, NAFTA, and GATT, have been for the US economy.
After the reports showing the Chousen torpedo was German, and that the south fired first this last time, what are the chances that the whole affair was to hide the passing of this?
( not to mention the movement to have the above free trade type agreements reversed)

Jamie Dimon, Chamber of Commerce and UAW Congratulate President Obama on the Glorious Occasion of His NAFTA-Style Korea Trade Agreement

Below please see statements of support for the U.S.-Korea Trade Agreement from various elected officials, the business community, and advocacy groups.

“I’m pleased to hear the Obama Administration’s announcement that it has reached a deal on the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement. This is an important step forward to expand the reach of American exports, which will help create more American jobs. It also helps strengthen our ties to a dependable democratic ally that fosters prosperity and stability in Asia and enhances our economic and national security. The FTA also includes important changes to ensure that workers’ rights and the environment are protected.” [Representative Steny Hoyer, 12/03/2010]

Fire up those factories in detroit. Were selling to the Koreans now!
Seriously, this is the same kind of story we heard for NAFTA in regards to creating jobs and exports. We have become a service economy and those factory jobs are not coming back. The equipment has been auctioned off and the patents sold to Asia. What they didn't buy they copied or multinationals showed them how to build it.

Just before the presidential election
Goolsby(SP?) was telling Canadian businssmen that they would not negotiate the free trade agreements
while Obama was telling the US electorate he was going to get rid of them.
