Yeah, you're probably right, genius. All the whiteys that voted him in suddenly realized what they did and smacked their palms against their foreheads and formed the Tea Party.

Stop watching television, it's rotting your brain.

Do you want to know what will happen on Tuesday? Do you?

To keep it short and sweet, Tuesday, we all will see the exact repeat of 1994 start all over again. The GOP will make big gains, then they will blow it by cutting all sorts of deals for big corporations and wall street and screwing over the middle and lower classes again.

There might even be a government shut down again, and because of all this, in 2012 Obama will be elected again and the GOP will loose seats.

Great blanket statement there, without substantiation or reference to anything specific. Man I am getting tired of all the unsourced conservative hyperbole and rhetoric on this site...

BTW fun fact: You can simply not read what you don't agree with. Or, in fact, man up and just take it all in and weigh your opinion of the worth of the content. Agreeing to disagree is sort of what makes Democracy different than fascism.

Watch what happens Tuesday.

Then watch again in 2012.

I fully expect it to be the same old, same old, left/right paradigm garbage that always occurs. No matter who wins it will be business as usual.

Unless of course WUKs thoughts are right, and some fringe Tea Partiers try to mount an insurrection. AT which point they'll find out a little known and often disregarded fact...

"Liberals" own guns too.

TUESDAY...

Why post if you don't care? And why continue to participate if this site gives you a headache? Just curious as this all seems contrary.

Tuesday indeed.

I truly believe that tea party supporters and members are expressing masked racism. honestly ask yourself WOULD THERE BE A TEA PARTY MOVEMENT IF JOHN MCAIN HAD WON IN 2008? the answer is a resounding NO even when bush was in office and we all know how terribly he messed things up. where was the so called tea party then? its funny how the tea party is so opposed to the Democrats when truthfully they share many of the same views. Another thing to note is why are Billionaires backing the tea party? uh duh they have special interests, Tea party is a just a very extreme arm of the republican party. And anyone who cant see that is well......uninformed.

Dude, you are so wrong it isn't even funny... The teaparty movement started while bush was in office first of all. It started as a result of our representatives telling us that they heard we were against the bailouts, but since they knew better, they would do it anyway. The tea party movement didn't start getting any airtime at all until the presidential primaries. After the election, when that nutbag palin started going to rallies, is when it started getting any real mainstream media. After it was hijacked of course. And of course the left started smearing the whole movement soon after as racist etc. The nonpartisan movement was hijacked by republicans, because they know their ship is sinking, along with the democrats. They saw a good oppertunity to try to get more youth on their side, and beat the democrats to the punch. It was a nonpartisan movement, based on the same thing that sparked the historical tea party. No taxation without representation.

wow...nice to see how Liberals love to label every Republican, or tea party member into one group, perhaps we should call all Liberals Communists and get it over with... Hey you want to label all Republicans as being the same as those in that video? and much less tea party members which are from several political affiliations?... Then all Liberals from now on should be called communists...after all you embrace many of the same policies and doctrines that communists do...

Liberals are already called communists. Where have you been? So basically what are you saying, liberals have to just deal with all the generalities given to them by the right but how dare liberals fight back? Is that it?

The TPM has shown exactly what they are and what they stand for. They are all extremist right wing Republicans. As evidenced by this election where not ONE Independent candidate was supported by the TEA Party or was elected into office. NOT ONE INDEPENDENT, this tells us that the TPM was just a scam to elect Republicans and had nothing to do with fiscal responsibility or wrestling power from the false Republican/Democrat paradigm.

Funny, you said exactly the same thing in your Whining thread. I'm running to Canada and you can't stop me thread.

Trying to spread it around are you. The entire nation is RED with the exception of the west coast and the NE. Get over it. Blame the White House and the person sitting in it for your troubles.

Oh please it was those with squashed brains to which the man pandered successfully for his win, Kentucky was chosen for a reason.

We got plenty of squashed intelligence and squashed economy her in KY, Pand will do nothing for us because this is a mere stepping stone (or should I say squashing stone) to bigger things.

Blame should go to those who really deserve it, and in this case, those that really deserve it are the morons and buffoons who for some unknown reason decided to repeat 1994 all over again.

Those that cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Listen, you do know that these Republicans aren't going to repeal health care right? They can't. They more than likely aren't going to be able to stop the Bush Deficit Increase (AKA Bush Tax Cuts for the slow witted) from expiring. What they are going to be able to do is look like a bunch of fools as bill after bill after bill gets thrown in the trash the second it hits the Senate.

Sure, the war will get funded, that sort of legislation always goes through. But what are the pretty boys and girls in red going to try and pull?

Impeachment of Obama, and well, that's more than likely going to go nowhere. And by the time the next election rolls around, the GOP is going to look like total tools and then the left is going to get the house back again, because people right now are voting with their ever emptying wallets and when the GOP doesn't deliver on things they promised, well, the Democrats are just going to use that to their advantage.

I for one can't wait to expose these people for exactly what they are including the darling of all these morons Rand Paul.

Rand Paul won the election. Maybe we will get a little fiscal responsibility and integrity in this country for a change. Obviously the other 2 parties are just going to continue running us into the ditch.

Political folk, don't you realize how your affiliations are tearing us apart ??? They can't beat us when we stand together so they divide us and make us kill each other.

We really should just say *Snip* the republican and democrat parties for atleast a few years, then we'll realize we don't need em.

so

The Kentucky Courier-Journal, which has favored Conway over Rand Paul in the course of the Senatorial race, hid the bombshell story behind a relatively tame headline this past weekend, presumably in a bid to protect Jack Conway from the blowback of the astounding revelations contained in the five page report written by R.G. Dunlop.

The nitty gritty of the issue runs like this – Matthew C. Conway, prosecutor and brother of Jack Conway, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senator from Kentucky, was under investigation by the Louisville Metro Police for alleged drug use and drug trafficking.

Two narcotics detectives involved in the case perverted the course of justice by tipping off Conway to the fact that he was under investigation. At least three narcotics officers are now under internal investigation for “policy violations”.

and to you folks who are offended by Rand Paul's win...
you make it look like democracy ( and decency) is doomed in the US.

I always saw this incident as a reminder that we need to focus on what principles we are opposed to and not who are supposed to be our enemies.

Remember, this country was founded on supporting freedom and liberty while fighting against tyranny and thuggery. Yet most of our politicians and legislators seem to have forgotten this countries founding principles and have instead effectively endorsed tyranny and thuggery.

So the only way to keep that from happening again in any new movement whether if be the tea party or libertarian party we always must call out and hold accountable anyone who engages in the sort of thuggish practices that these Rand Paul supporters engaged in.

That's quite a massive leap in logic. But, hey, what ever makes you feel all snuggly and righteous. The only point I was making is that all the Tea Party folks who go on and on about their guns need to realize that others own them as well. Oh, and we can use them just as proficiently. No threats contained herein whatsoever. Just a statement of fact.

Oh, and funfact... I do not self identify as a liberal... or a tough guy.

The actions by the Rand Paul supporters in this case demonstrated how quickly a movement which was founded on the principles of liberty can so quickly veer away from those principles when the supporters see some figure head (Rand Paul) be in any way threatened by anyone (the woman thrown to the ground).

The solution then is to not have any figure heads or leaders to rally around but instead focus solely on the advancing the principles of freedom, liberty and justice that we all want.
