Obama Administration Gave General Electric—Parent Company of NBC--$24.9 Million in ‘Stimulus’

The Obama administration gave corporate giant General Electric—the parent company of NBC--$24.9 million in grants from the $787-billion economic “stimulus” law President Barack Obama signed in February 2009, according to records posted by the administration at Recovery.gov.

Despite getting $24.9 million from U.S. taxpayers, GE decreased its U.S.-based employees by 18,000 in 2009, according to the company’s 2009 annual report.

According to Standard & Poor's, GE took in $156 billion in revenue in 2009.

GE was the primary recipient of 14 stimulus grants, a spokeswoman for Recovery.gov confirmed to CNSNews.com. These 14 grants provided GE with $24.9 million in tax dollars. On four additional stimulus grants, the primary recipient of the federal money hired GE as a contractor. Recovery.gov is the administration’s website that tracks stimulus expenditures.

Again, this is nothing surprising, because the globalist U.S. government and Fortune 100 corporations are in bed with one another; money and power are the desired end results.

Obama, like his puppet predecessors, is serving the corporate elite high and proud. They live high on the hog while American citizens who lost their homes following the manufactured GFC are living in tent cities!!!

The 'stimulus' was nothing but corporate welfare bailouts. Period. End of story.

I honestly want to walk into congress in the middle of their session of grab ass and ask them "Who writes this stuff?" I mean honestly I remember hearing a senator say "well we don't really read the legislation, it's so long how could you?"

So much ear marks and spending and spending. Congress and all the Administrations for the past who knows how long have been sleeping in bed with big business, and in a lot of cases quite literally.

Congress needs to stop spending and start REFORMING. we're not going to save our country by spending money, we need government and economic reformation along with a cultural renaissance so our country can stop being so damn apathetic and lethargic.
