Get real. Some dumbass Architect designs a building who's windows create a parabolic reflector and you start talking about Darth Vader.

If they would have been thinking, they would have placed the pool in the focal point area and then they could say how Green they are by using the building to heat the pool.

It would probably be cost effective to move the pool and put a solar array at the focal point. Then they could power the hotel, get a good energy star rating, get some state and federal money, create good PR, and limit their liability of people getting burned.

If they anticipated the problem, why didn't they take advantage of it, instead of doing a half-ass job with some ineffective film?

If they were smart, they would put some SOLAR PANELS at the pool and create cabanas that cover most of the reflective area and use that energy to power the dang hotel.....

Its an ugly looking building.. Would think that with the profits casinos make they could afford a better architect to design a nicer and environmentally friendly hotel..

If that's a death ray, wow... there are at least two similar looking buildings in the downtown area of Ottawa that look like that, Is a giant glass bubble therefore its got to be a safe house if sea levels rise. Its architectural design. I should know I was suppose to go into architecture and take over my fathers firm. That's just a building its not going to kill you unless it's poorly constructed.
