Altitude and position of your UFO matches real position of Sirius at sky at that time.

Fifth annual Nine Mile Portage Heritage Festival Sat Sep 18, 2010.

With a :

Opening ceremonies - 10 am-11 am at Heritage Park featuring re-enactments of a War of 1812 battle on Kempenfelt Bay as well as landings of historic boats and canoes as they re-enact the arrival of personnel, supplies and trade goods at the foot of the Nine Mile Portage * other activities include cannon & musket demonstrations

Now I have no idea if this ceremony was opened with the arrival of a couple of historically significant boats but if this was the case then they could have been out on the water at that time making preparations....

Well done for coming through with the video as promised. Don't take my 'Jaws theme tune' post as insulting or off-topic, I meant that I was genuinely in suspense waiting for the video. You aren't a 3-day member and I didn't expect anything less than a video if you said you were gonna post one.

As for what's in the film? It's a point of light and very bright. Have you checked Stellarium to rule out some of the usual customers?

Jupiter would have been in the south western sky when you saw this:



And as I said earlier, Jupiter is super bright right now.

Edit to add that the time stamp is my timezone, but Jupiter is visible in that location till sunrise.

Thanks for coming good on your video! too often than not we get someone really excited about footage then no video comes!

Am i right in thinking it was stationary for most of the video then from about 5 minutes on it started moving off to the left slowly then gathered speed? that what it looks like to me. Nice capture there.
