Some interesting facts with regards to the Fox spin:

FY 2008 (Latest I could find)

Pieces of mail handled 202.7 Billion
Revenues $75 Billion
Expenses $77.8 Billion

If we just looked at the $2.8 Billion short fall, it sure seems bad but the USPS does not run of taxes, it creates revenue.

I am trying to find the volume of mail/parcels FedEx and UPS handle. I know it is quite a bit less but how much I do not know. On top of that, UPS plans to start using the USPS for some of its business. These facts do make for good "privatization" spin though.

I think the racist rebuff by the Senator was deserved but obscured the facts of initial argument. The original guest/speaker was an idiot.

Are there no white Nigerians? Just wondering? I thought that Al was way out of ine with his remarks. Imagine if someone on the right used the same language, the story would get lost, because all of the time would be spent on discussing how rude he was......epic fail.
