Just thought I would post a pic that I just got done stacking and it made me feel kind of small in the grand Scheme of things. How they pays us no mind as we wonder around this universe.

The Andromeda–Milky Way collision is a predicted galaxy collision that could possibly take place in approximately 4.5 billion years' time between the two largest galaxies in the Local Group – the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way which contains Earth.


Luckily I have galactic collision insurance.

ETA: Wait, "stacking" means it's your own multichannel photo? That's pretty cool.

The vast majority of stars would just pass between one another since they're so small compared to their separations. They'll merge into a single galaxy as I understand it.
