I will keep this one short.

I'm sure there is a simple explanation for this, but I want to know how a meteor (2010 RX12) which is estimated to be 32 to 65 feet in diameter, passed within 154,000 miles of Earth at 5:51 a.m., yet took a detour directly around earth and resuming its original path.

This photo is linked from CNN and provided by NASA.

Scroll all the way to the right of the image to see what I'm talking about.

Thoughts?

I am confused as to where you see that RX30 took a detour directly around the earth?

I see the gravitational rotation (Path) of the moon going around the Earth.

I see RF12 coming close to Earth, then the gravitational pull slinging it on its new path.

RF12 may be lighter or going slower, thus feeling the effects of earths gravity more...
It also passed closer so effect would be greater..

But heck, I aint no expert, sure one will be along shortly

I don't see what you are talking about either. I see one straight path, the path I think you are talking about. The other path looks to have been affected by the Earths's gravitational pull. I see no "detours".

It's 2 different Meteorite's paths. Showing how close they both will be to earth once they pass. The one that recently went by was closer to us than the moon.

Sorry, but I'm not seeing what you're trying to explain. I scrolled to the right but it didn't help any.

From Helium:
www.helium.com...

September 8, 2010 two small asteroids passed near to Earth in two separate incidents. Over the last several days NASA officials have been watching these asteroids closely.

Both asteroids already passed us safely.

Is this why nasa get such a bad rap all the time? Because the questions never make any sense?

"Dear nasa, why is the moon!"

silence

"They don't reply, it's a coverup!!! Never A Straight Answer - I knew it!!!"

What, like this?

Whoa, I think NASA is lying to us. It really did hit us and they are covering it up. Nah, in all reality, that variation is simply due to Earth's gravity.

They missed due to unknown spoken deflection device used by high rank Earth authorities trying to prevent the EXODUS...

It crashed in colombia.

Check the asteroid thread here on ats and how the media buried it.

My dear Friend,

I would like to start this conversation with a healthy little dose of sarcasm... But due to recent events, I have come to the conclusion that any form of sarcasm, would be totally lost on you!

Ah i see. NASA said that RX 12 passed within 150 000 miles and than took a detour directly around earth.

And than NASA display a image that show that it never took a detour at all.

That should tell you that NASA ain't always telling the facts like they are. The story doesn't fit the picture at all for NASA this time.

I would say that is a good observation.
