After reading both posts, I believe that the reporters have lost sight of what is really going on in the political arena and the populace that they
are suppose to be representing. For far too long, many politicians often make promises that they do not keep or only partially keep, and the time is
coming to where the population, we the people are holding them accountable for those actions. Too many politicians often make statements that come
back to haunt them in the end. President Obama, has made one too many social faux pas and promises that are not kept or were not clear on his part.
When he took office the country was in the midst of a very bad recession and in 2 armed conflicts that are losing popularity. Instead of learning
from the mistakes of the prior adminstration and taking the steps to correct those mistakes and to turn around and actually make the tough decisions,
he has decided to follow the few, instead of listening to all. Fears of what is being done in the halls of power are starting to come true, where
many people are now watching everything that is being done in DC. The democrats made some very big promises and have failed to even deliver on those
that matter to the american public, the biggest ones being the economy and housing. Those keep sliding and the bills that are getting passed often do
not improve the situations of the people on the bottom of the country, but keep making it worse, combined with the ideology of those that surround the
President does not improve the confidence of the general public. Neither of the Political Parties are in a favorable light, the republicans are just
as much of a target as the Democrats are at this time frame. We are not so ignorant or stupid as to be oblivious to what all is going on, we see the
problems and if those in power would listen, we have the solutions that actually make sense. Take the 3 issues that are affecting the general
population: Healthcare, Illegale Immigration, and Jobs. On the healthcare debate, the problem is that when you have represenatitives turn around and
state that they do not know what is in the bill, and can not even defend it, or make fun of or even turn around and insult the very people they are
suppose to be representing, then what does that state, is this the kind of person you want to represent you? On illegale immigration, most of the
people want equal justice and the borders secured, but those in the federal government are dragging their feet to the point where nothing is getting
done. We are told the stimulus will improve the job market and nothing gets passed down, the jobs are still far and few between. The democrats had
the majority for so long and could have passed anything, but choose not to, and now they are starting to see what their inaction has lead to. The
question should be, will the republicans make a difference, or will it be business as usuall, and the population suffers for it?
