I don't think those are spotlights, since the lights change form, sometimes like a ball, sometimes slender like a snake.

I live nearby a beach, where they often have big parties with spotlights shooting in the sky. The lights in this video definitely do not look like spotlights.

I think it's spotlights. They do move too. Ignore the title of this video and it's the same thing.

I think these ones are projecting from an angle.

cool, howver the spotlight idea seems to agree with me

My first thought was as well a spotlight of some kind, maybe a laser like you see in light shows sometimes. The thing stays in one spot of the sky and seems to repeat a certain pattern. Which further indicates the spotlight theory.

The orb is definately a rocket, I am afraid. The effect ov hovering could also be due to a sudden change of the rockets direction away from the camera. So the rocket would not move on a x or y axis, just away from the camera, thus appearing to hover.

All in all a nice clip that raises your eyebrow at first, but in the end nothing that deserves to be called alien.

Just my 2 cents

Just for those of you who are interested.
Those guys at the background are speaking some dialect, from what i can figure out, The guy were saying that the "cloud" has remained in that spot for some period of time and were circulating repeatedly and shows a pattern.

This is ideed very very very strange, reminds me of a very recent video that apparently catches a "dragon" flying around a tornado in China!!!! I will post the link, u guys can check it out.
www.youtube.com...
Pay attention to 02 sec, a black object flew into screen from top right corner. before the object was captured the guys at the background were saying: look look, it's a dragon it's a dragon..... it has moved!! and everyone were talking about the "flying dragon"
so this one is definitely not a fake and it's on some local TV live boardcasting...the boardcasting crew have not realized about the strange object
also, a dragon to chinese ppl is a fictious creature that flys in the sky that has the appearance and movement similar to a sneak. so... i am 99 percent convinced by the video that it is a dragon unless someone can offer a more logical explaination, judging by the movement of that object, it can hardly be a flying ballon or kite of some sort....

I really wonder what is going on with our world....it's making the back of my hair stand up.

There's a casino a few miles from where I grew up that has it's own set of gigantic spotlights aimed at the sky nightly. What's happening in this video looks identical to what the spotlights look like when it's cloudy out. So for me, I think it's safe to say they are spotlights.

I can see what people are seeing when they say "spotlight". But to me, it looks like maybe a large swarm of small, flying insects..

As for the "orb" I agree with MMN.
The pause in the rocket's flight, or the "hover" can be explained by an air pocket in the rocket's solid fuel. The fuse continues to burn past the air bubble, and burns off the rest of the fuel. Play with enough bottlerockets, you'll see this quite a bit. Less noticeable usually though, because we typically view rockets from the launch point. We notice it here because we see the launch from the side

I think it kind of looks like smoke coming off the building/from a vent and they just keep looping the video from random points in the video so it looks like it's jumping around.

Why would there be spotlights being used during the day? That makes no sense. Spotlights require $$$ money to use, and if someone was doing a promotion or something, they are not going to blow money on using these things during the day.

This is something else.

What makes you conclude it's night time? The tree appears to be reflecting late afternoon sunlight. Looks like storm clouds overhead.

Harrytuttle.....

I can see why you would say that.....it does have somewhat of the "late afternoon storm" appearance.

To my mind.....

It looks more like the camera is brightening the scene & the trees & buildings are illuminated by streetlights, etc...

Kind regards

I doubt the searchlight scenario. It looks to me like several sources of light following each other, inside the clouds, twisting about every which way, and looking like a writhing snake. It even looks as if there could be two strings of lights moving independently, at times. It's all rather odd and indistinct for a computer generated image intended to be passed off as a UFO. Ross

I'm 100% certain that's a flying insect illuminated by the streetlight.

I am 98% certain it is a rocket, but 110% certain it is definitely not an insect!

Freeze it at 58; you'll will see the trail of sparks. Listen to the whistle that happens at exact time of take off.

Plus, I am in posession of hundreds of these mini rockets. They are called moon travellers; the stick is about 1ft long, the rocket head about 5cm. It's speed, distance, trajectory, flight behaviour matches exactly how these mini-rockets, which you can fire from your hand, behave. Also, they come with 'report' and no-report...the one on the vid is either no report or a dud...at the end of their flight,,,they do tend to just hover, or stop for a milli-second or two...

I could be wrong, but...well..98% certain it is a rocket...
