Take break from the unrelenting negative!
Take a look at this baby when he hears his mothers voice for the first time.
Baby hears for the first time

Appreciate the miraculous, the good that people do in this world.

Nice find. And you are correct, it is nice to balance out all the negative with some good stories and news. I couldn't help but smile watching the video.

Wow to hear something as beautiful as a mothers voice for the first time after the raging sound of silence would be quite a pleasant shock. It is a very nice video.

All I could do was smile when I saw this.......

You can tell instantly that it worked on some level and to see the pure joy on this kids face after he first hears his moms voice is just awesome....

These are the things that makes me proud to be a Human........

We really need more stuff on ATS like this.......When I first signed up here and the year or 2 lerking prior to that, there used to be stuff like this more than the negative.......

It's as if this site wants only negative via the people that use it......

thanks for posting this.

my first son was bron leagle blind.( what is leagel bind anyway if a person can see some?
anyway at 2 years old he got his first glasses (now just to show how bad it was he was a plus 11.75 thats like coke bottle glasses .
and when we first put them on his world was changed for ever .
You should have seen him staring at EVERY thing lol.
Heck a two year old well we never even needed to keep the glasses up at night as you couldnt pry them away from him .
Up untill he was 15 he NEVER broke a pair of glasses or lost a pair .
he knows excatly what they meen for him lol.
ps he was so CUTE with his first pair of coke bottle glasses they took up half his face lol.
now a days hos eye site has improved to 9.25 and the lenses are a new stuff that is really thin no longer look like coke bottles lol.
and he wants contacts now lol.
ps from very young i worned him NOT to get laser surgery done on his eyes!
maybe it works mostly but when it comes to eyes mostly isnt good enough .

There has been a big debate some years ago about hearing impared parents who wasnt so sure giving their children the gift of hearing with technology as a good idea.
To them this attempt was destroying their way of life. Communicating with signs was the best to them...they were accepting their own fate.

thats great. I am really interested in how people would perceive music after not being able to hear for a lifetime. And i would be interested in how people who are def imagine music.

That is outstanding! Talk about a grown man on the edge of tears. It just goes to show that magical bond between mother and child, though like most other middle-aged men, he will be wishing he could turn that hearing back off at times (when it comes to the women in his life). Regardless, that just made my day, thanks for sharing.
