It's hard to say without knowing what she like.
Does she have any hobbies etc?

I have to assume that she likes "ultra" beer.........

Something very personal and made by you might be a nice addition. Maybe something that might make her look at you in a new light, if that's something you'd like her to do.

Are there any events that she'd enjoy that tickets to said event might really spark her up? NASCAR? Opera? Concert? Sports?

How about a litre of Vodka, furry handcuffs and some chocolate body paint?

platonic or not, not beer. That's so breakfast club.

How about a nice spa day out, a bottle of amarige perfume or a dozen sunflowers. She would be happy with that. It's appropriate.

thanks for the ideas

i called her up & asked,
'we' are breakfast club oakies

the ULTRAs are acceptable and welcome even if just for her parade of visiting friends,
& seeing as she gets nails & pedicures regularly, and $20hr expensive massages pretty regularly, she opted for brews, & no flowers...

but im going to also bring a 'very romantic' LP bottle-gas for the grill....
it will be tailgate season pretty soon

Treating one to a nice dinner out is always cool, even among "platonic" friends. And, if 54, chances are she isn't cooking up big meals very often, so kind of a special treat.

The best gifts though, are ones a gal pointed out a while back, that you remember, and then get. It shows you're listening, and care enough about her to remember.
