I'm going to make this short and sweet. I looked at spaceweather before and here you are.
I would like to point out the second picture first. All seeing eye springs to mind. The first picture regarding the aurora? What's with the shape in the aurora? Is there an object causing the distinct straight edges?

I'd be interested to have your views on these.

Not a scientist but I always find the sun activity interesting - the sun is waking up and has been more active lately. It has done this before. I don't see anything unusal or signifcant in the images for us to worry about at this time. I doubt it has anything to do with 2012 - you would probably get a better response from scientist if it were not in this forum. But then again if you want discussions about 2012 then you will get a different perspective. IMO

thanks for the post, good pics there.
not sure the edges are completely straight, looks like a 3d wave viewed from 200degree angle. it just appears to be straight.
but mabye i'm wrong, always open to suggestions.
