You have a Right to be Racist, Bigoted, and Hateful.

You do. Every human being has a right to their opinion. You have a right to speak your opinion.

But watch out, because everyone has a right to criticize your opinion with their opinions.

This is a Fact. You are a free human being and can choose your own path.

Most people are bigoted against the bigots, of which I try not to be. I generally accept people despite how much they tick me off, but hey no one's perfect and even I go down the wrong path often.

A) People that want laws to make Racism, Bigotry, and Hate to become Illegal and punishable.

1) Are attempting to destroy our freedom of speech and opinion.
2) Should realize their own opinions are up for banning under such absurd laws.
3) Need to grow thicker skin
4) Should utilize their RIGHT TO IGNORE others.

B) The Right to Ignore others.

1) Should be understood by all parties.
2) Is related to our Right to Free Speech (The right to ignore other's speech).
3) You do not have to Ignore anyone, as you have the right to criticize them if you so choose instead.

C) Violence and Assaults.

1) Is illegal and wrong.
2) Is never acceptable even if someone talks crap in your face.
3) You deserve to be imprisoned for harming another person especially if they were only talking crap.
4) Rather than resorting to violence, See section B for solutions.

D) Hypocrites

1) Everyone is a Hypocrite including myself.
2) People whom claim to not be Racist, Bigoted, or Hateful are liars.
3) Examples:
I am Bigoted and Hateful towards Scumbag Politicians, Murderers, Violent Thugs, Liars, Rapists, etc.

See we are all guilty of it in the end. Therefore we are all Hypocrites.

E) Dressing Racism, Bigotry, and Hate up in "Sheep's Clothing".

1) Since it is a clear FACT that everyone is guilty of these things, and no amount of debate will change this fact; we have a problem of Honesty.
2) The obvious Racist, Bigot, or Hate-monger is Honest and Open.
3) The "all loving all tolerant" type lives a lie and lies to themselves, and uses all types of fancy language/words to cover it up so they do not feel guilty for the Truth.
Their own very statements show that they are indeed living in denial, as they spew hatred for others they deem "unacceptable".
Example : "I hate Hitler" or "I hate Stalin". This is hate my friends.

Who here has the guts to say "I love Hitler"? Right almost no one. See points D and E.

F) Intolerance.
1) Every human being is Intolerant of others.
2) Intolerance is not a bad thing.
3) Examples : I am intolerant of Liars. I am intolerant of crooks and thieves. I am intolerant of murderers and rapists. Etc.

G) Social Engineering.

1) We are being socially engineered into this hypocritical point of view.
2) People use guilt trips and threats to combat honest people.
3) Through the use of extreme self-denial, we are all becoming worse off and our very Freedoms are being attacked in mass.

I merely am posting this to clear up the mass confusion about our Rights as Human Beings that is so rampant in today's world. Grow a thicker skin, and learn to Ignore those whom you do not like. Stop trying to enforce your beliefs on others by trying to make opinions/beliefs illegal. Yes you have a RIGHT to state your opinion that you think it should be illegal, but I have a right to criticize that as I am doing right now in this thread.

DISCLAIMER ::: You SHOULD NOT break the Terms and Conditions of ATS. This will get you banned. So please, be RESPECTFUL about your beliefs. Do not break the rules because I do not like seeing people being banned, EVER. This is merely a Hypothetical Argument about Real Life

Yes I am a Hypocrite. As are all humans.
Yes I am Intolerant. As are all.
Yes I hate. As do all.
Yes I am a bigot. As are all.
ETC.

Of course I wanted to say more but I forgot the rest for now. I'll add it if I remember the rest.

Hahah!

I actually really like this. I thought at first I would think it was really bigoted (haha) and I guess it is, but not in the way I thought it would be. Great post!

We call a man a bigot or a slave of dogma because he is a thinker who has thought thoroughly and to a definite end.

I had to do this?

Word Origin & History

bigot
1590s, from Fr. bigot (12c.), in O.Fr. "sanctimonious;" supposedly a derogatory name for Normans, the old theory (not universally accepted) being that it springs from their frequent use of O.E. oath bi God. Plausible, since the Eng. were known as goddamns in Joan of Arc's France, and during World War I Americans serving in France were said to be known as les sommobiches (see also son of a bitch). But the earliest French use of the word (12c.) is as the name of a people apparently in southern Gaul (which led to the now-doubtful, on phonetic grounds, theory that the word comes from Visigoth ). Sp. bigote "mustache" also has been proposed as a source, though the sense is not adequately explained. The earliest English sense is of "religious hypocrite," especially a female one, and may have been influenced by beguine. Sense extended 1680s to other than religious opinions.

Thanks for acknowledging that all humans ARE NOT "created equal," and that our freedom of THOUGHT is at least as important — if not more so — as the freedom of speech or freedom of anything else.

No, humans are NOT "created equal"... It's more than apparent that most humans don't have terribly high IQs, that they're not capable of grasping the loftier concepts. And, no, education doesn't make a person smarter, it only gives you a database of knowledge upon which to draw.

You're as smart as you're ever going to be at birth — that is, your brain and your faculties for capturing knowledge swiftly are pretty much SET by the time you're born. It's part of your genetic blueprint. No, you don't become smarter as you age. If anything, social engineering and behavior modification only DULLS your faculties.

So, NO, there's no such thing as a socialist Utopia in which everyone is "equal"... It'll never happen, not as long as we're still human beings. We'd have to DEVOLVE into some sort of dull-witted sub-species to become equals.

And, as long as we're humans, we'll always exercise our penchant for recognizing and discriminating against one another for our perceived differences.

Sorry, nobody is ever going to legislate equality into our genetic blueprint. Thank God.

I am a colorist as I much prefer the color purple over the color green, and my favorite color is burgundy.

I am a food bigot as I can't stand neither the taste nor smell of tuna. I love Mexican food, particularly green chile enchiladas, (especially if that green chile comes from Hatch New Mexico), I love pizza and cheeseburgers, and prime rib, but do not like the smell and taste of a lot of Japanese and Korean foods.

I am an actor bigot as I like some actors, and can't stand others.

I am a literature bigot as I like some literature and can't stand others.

I am a political bigot as I like certain politics and can't stand other politics.

I am most certainly a hypocrite because I can't stand poverty but am poor. I want to be wealthy and flourish and prosper and see no nobility in poverty.

I am a die hard capitalist who was turned on to the virtues of capitalism after reading Das Kapital by Karl Marx when I was younger and a die hard believer in communism. Marx convinced me that communism would never work, and that capitalism was the better system.

I tolerate what I can, and what I can't tolerate or believe should not be tolerated, I refuse to tolerate.

I am uniquely me and feel no need to imitate another soul, and am grateful that in spite of my non-conformity I have been honored with friends, including the O.P. of whom I thank heartily for allowing me to confess my bigotry and hypocrisy here in this thread.

Really cool, muzzleflash. It always bothers me a lot when I'm intolerant of the intolerant. There's just no way to correlate that, is there? I'll have to read this again tomorrow when I'm sober.

Now that I can't agree with. If I allowed everyone word's to affect me at that level, I'd be very insecure in my own beliefs. If we are self-assured in our own being of happiness, noone would have any control over our feelings and there would be no perceived threat. Why should it matter in the least?

All we have to do is look around to see that mankind hasn't evolved spiritually to the point of seeing everyone as being equal and allowing each person to have their own beliefs without it effecting me in an adverse manner. Why should it? If we are secure within ourselves, there is no anger or dissatisfaction.

What happens when whole communities are bigoted , racist and hateful . Such that they do not have any kind of limiting factors to bring them back into the realms of normality and decency , say like some areas of the US in some southern states ?

And yet, WHO among us is "secure within ourselves"...? Certainly not the great multitude, the seething mass of sheeple who flinch and cringe with every dire pronouncement of TPTB.

The only people I've ever known who were truly secure were those who were at peace with God and with their place in the Universe. And those people are pretty highly evolved, spiritually.

You can tell I'm not one of them. But at least I have the facility for RECOGNIZING their spirituality.

Who can legislate equality of spirit? Who can legislate inner peace? Well, obviously, there is a GREAT divide between the spiritually evolved and those of the more mundane variety. Yet another reason for discrimination.

I've got news for you... The "southern states" don't have a monopoly on bigotry and racism and stupidity.

Get your ass up to the North Woods of Wisconsin, and you'll find the biggest bigots, racists and ignorant podunk trash you can imagine. Get on down to the east side of Detroit sometime and try preaching "equality" on a street corner after 9 PM. Get up into New York City and try preaching "equality" in the Bronx or Queens or in Harlem...

Honey, there is PLENTY of bigotry and racism and low-down ignorance to go around ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY, and most of it is found in the "culturally-evolved" metropolitan areas.

In the immortal words of Family Guy's Peter Griffin...

"Sir, while I may not agree with what you say, I will fight to the death for your right to say it."

It's sad when only slapstick cartoons speak the truth...

Nice one, mate.

I like your style.

I seem to remember reading a similar thread earlier today...

Oh hang on a minute !
That'd be that other thread that was extolling the virtues of suppressed speech and topics on ATS, and also encouraging censoring posts...

Good stuff, Man. Keep the ATS flag flying.

Birds of a feather flock together. Would you have anything in common with them? If not, you wouldn't associate with them.

I have a glass of wine about once a month. So keep wondering.

And even under that influence I still make more sense that, "You're as smart as you're ever going to be at birth..."

The way I look at it is, "nobody has the right not to be offended." There simply isn't a clause like that in the human being instruction booklet. There are a lot of unpleasant things in life that, unfortunately, we don't have a given right to avoid. Sickness and physical pain are other bummers in this category.

Or, the more conscise and familar version: "sticks and stones..."

I tell people something similar all the time,

"if you encounter something you don't like, ignore it unless it's hurting someone; if not stop whining!"

then of course they look at me as if i'm an evil person.

Excellent points.

Star and flag my friend.

You are 100% correct.

No law should be made to force people to be respectful of others / change how they think. That would open up a whole 'nother can of worms.

It's when bigots / racists / intollerants forget this part:

and start crying about how 'political correctness' is keeping them from being themselves that irks me.

Something along the lines of "I should have the right to say anything to a person but I can't because as soon as I do nobody will want to have anything to do with me anymore! GET A THICKER SKIN! etc."

I am bigoted against bigots
and intollerant of intollerance. But I guess the saving grace is if they wish to change or to not be so 'evil' if you will, then I would give them a chance... or I guess it would be a thing of the lesser of two evils in the world of 'right' or 'wrong'.

What you are saying is people are no good.

The solution is to change the nature of people.

That is through EUGENICS.

IVF or AI or genetic engineering.

Unless you like living in a man made hell.
