Hi, thanks for asking.

I was trying to make a thread about that Canadians are sensitive thing, then I got told off and blah blah blah.

I was just trying to introduce a bit of light entertainment.

I am neither wearing knickers at the moment nor am I Antipodean! Americans (United States'ers, not Quanadian, who are only American by Continent) get upset when people think we're from the southern hemisphere (because "north" is higher and better, why do you think it's on the top of the map?). Some New Zealand bloke get an earful one time (IRC-style) after accusing me of being a Kiwi!

Edit: "Knickers" has two "k"'s, so I'm told.

If we assume that "north" automatically implies "up"......

Ever try holding a map upside down?? It doesn't change anything, really.

OMG you can flip a map upside-down!! The my whole world view has been flipped!! (sorry had to make the pun it was screaming to me)


On topic I've always wondered on the southern hemisphere are globes south pole up or down? It really would be easier to read.
