Near Earth Asteroid Just Added to List - Passes Close to Earth Monday

When I say "close to earth" it's still 2.8 LD, or 2.8 times the distance to the moon. Still, that's pretty darned close for something that wasn't even on the spaceweather.com list until today! (Or if it was, it wasn't this close. Last I looked there was nothing showing as less than 5LD)

Although it's a safe distance away I'm still glad it's only 55 meters in size.

This is interesting as the Perseid meteors will be around the same time.
